The Alley Theatre is as good a theatre as anywhere in the country. We have never seen a production that was not flawlessly done. It is a shame that the Alley is not sold out for every production. Their productions are on par with Broadway and the West End.

True Houston Gem.Gregory Boyd and the talented craftsmen at the Alley are as good or better than anything we have seen on Broadway in NYC! We look forward during our one hour drive to a fabulous show, season after season, year after year. We feel like the long time cast members; James Black, Jeffery Bean, Todd Waite and other have... We are fortunate to have a theater company of this quality in Houston. Long-time cast members, including James Black, Jeffery Bean, Elizabeth Bunch, John Tyson, and Todd Waite, are as good as any we've seen in NYC. The sets are always first class, the direction is solid, and their choice of plays is a perfect mix of newer works and... More

My husband and I went for the first time last month. We had great seats. The theater is small, so I don't think that there is a bad seat. The play was very funny and the time went very quickly. I would recommend it. The parking structure is for small cars. Parking our large car was a little scary.

The Alley Theatre is one of Houston's treasures. I've had season tickets for over 30 years. In all these many years I can honestly say I've only seen 2 plays I didn't like. Gregory Boyd, artist director, continues to bring outstanding award winning plays and actors to our stage. I just saw Good People which was another totally engaging and... More

The Alley Theater has a long and colorful history with the City of Houston. I can remember from my college days going to the Alley when Ms. Nina Vance was the artistic director and the theater was located in a renovated fan factory. Now, much has changed, the theater is located in the theater district of downtown Houston and has... More

The Alley continues to excel and offer productions that are as good as anything you can find on Broadway or other stages in great theatre disticts around the country. Good People was not only a powerful script combining both humor and stripped raw drama, it was performed with perfection by a talnted cast led by one of our local treasures,... More

I first fell in love with the Alley Theatre about 30 years ago when I attended a stage production there during a visit from Los Angeles. Since that time, I've enjoyed many productions at "The Alley", taking both friends and also taking our Snobby Tours' tour groups whom we've brought to Houston for the occasion. The Alley's "Summer Chills" series,... More

Haven't been to the Alley? Well it is definitely a gem in Houston. The team puts on great plays that always leave us laughing, crying or angry. But isn't that what entertainment is there to do? Trust me, the Alley is a great way to spend an evening and then break out into debates.

Moved to Houston 18 months ago and enjoy going to the plays, very, very much. Very nice theather. Excellent view from any seat. Excellent repertory. Excellent cast but small so you get to see the same faces all the time. Still very good and have been going monthly.
