The Alley Theatre performed at the University of Houston this season while their hall was being renovated. We were fortunate to see their final performance of "The Foreigner" and had front row seats. The actors brought each character to life with spot-on accents, perfect timing of their humor, and flawless execution of tricky lines. This was our first time to... More

First time in a long time I wasn't extremely disappointed in an Alley production. This cast was a bit fresher than they have been of late. The play was funny, well staged, and the acting was only over-the-top when it needed to be, finally.

The Alley is one of the few theatres with a committed company of actors. We have been subscribers for over seven years. Offerings vary from funny to tearjearking, classical to modern. Don't miss

I have been going to the Alley for about 25 years. Their acting company is first rate and never a disappointment with a play.

The Alley Theater is doing a delightful presentation of The Foreigner at their temporary University of Houston location. Playing through Aug 9 it is a must see! Took out- of- town guests and we all thought it was such fun! The Houston company is a marvelous group of actors with great versatility and timing. Some adult content so I would... More

We've been season subscribers to the Alley Theatre for at least 20 years. Widely variable repertoire from Williams to Shakespeare to Foote. I love seeing the same actors in the company doing different roles and different genres. My wife says they're like chameleons...changing from role to role, play to play. Excellent acting, clever props, superb directing and unreal sets. As... More

We were visiting Houston and went to view this company of actors perform "The Foreigner". The set was pleasing and the acting was fairly good for this type of theater. We'd attend again.

The last performance of The Alley at UH for the season is The Foreigner. It has many of the regular cast and each one does an outstanding job. This is a great show to take out of town guests to or just to enjoy an evening with your spouse. It is extremely funny and very well done. Don't miss it!

Houston's premiere theatre always makes for an entertaining evening out. While I have thoroughly enjoyed the more intimate setting of the theatre at UH, I am ready for the big reveal of the refurbished downtown home later this fall. Excellent theater that intrigues, compels, and entertains.
