The is a really well designed convention center with tons of room for large events and still small areas for graduations.

If you in Houston for a convention, you will most probably be here. Stay at the Hilton next door, closest to center!!

Downtown Houston’s place for large gatherings, George R. Brown Convention Center is event central for conventions and other large shows. Conveniently located close to the Toyota Center and several hotels, George R. Brown gets a regular workout and hosts events every month throughout the year. I’ve visited George R. Brown Convention Center several times over the years for different events... More

Huge convention center. Located in downtown Houston with close shopping and food options. Not easy public transportation around.

Yikes! I thought the corny red, white, and blue design theme went out with Nixon! A painful circus of color that is almost comical, if it wasn't so bad. Contrast this with the beautiful and sophisticated Discovery Green next door and you can see this puppy is overdue for a new interior effort by someone of international caliber, ideally a... More

Great place, with a lot of space to walk around and sit, bathrooms always clean and there's wifi on some spots.

Attended a conference - venue was generally acceptable except for some acoustic issues. Currently construction is ongoing which may result in some inconvenience.

The George R. Brown Convention Center is often the site for huge events that come to Houston, so here quite often. Comic Conventions love using this place. Also Passion 2015 used this space for their small group breakouts, which was great as it is right next to the Toyota Center!

Having attended several conventions over the last couple of years, I have to say that this was one of the most pleasant venues so far. The "ship" motif is entertaining, but moreover it's comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, AND it's all LEED (environmentally) certified! Aside from a couple of difficulties with the sound systems, the rooms were well set up and... More

When we went the convention center was undergoing construction. Just a little hectic around the convention center.
