This park is located as you exit the Houston zoo. It's so nice to walk around and take some pics! Ducks are all around so the kids and so much fun playing around with them. The parking is close to park so not to much walking is required which is great with a small kid!! It's perfect for a picnic!!... More

So much to do and see at this park. I love the art placed throughout this park. The lake and Japanese garden are two of my favorite places in the park. There is a very cheap train that is fun to take all around the park.

The zoo and the train are great but there is also lots of space for a picnic and the rose gardens and herb gardens nearby are beautiful

It's a good place to bring your kids for a weekend if you lived here, but I didn't really feel that it was a must-see during a visit to Houston.

Great area to have a bbq or simple picnic with family and friends. A little busy on the weekends but still a great daytime activity.

Good for a walk around while kids play. Plenty of parking around. Make sure its a sunny day as there is not much shelter around.

My son loves to ride the train before our zoo visit. The train is actually at Herman Park just beside the Zoo. My only complaint as a local resident is that when the train stops at the so called stations there is ALWAYS the same people hanging out. Now, you can use your own imagination at where these people live,... More
