The trail is not paved --- good for feet and joints. Besides casual runners, there are quite a few serious runners. A separate trail for bikers.

The 3 mile loop is very well maintained, and a great place to run when in town on business. Lots of other runners, very safe and friendly.

As a lone female, I felt safe running in the middle of the city. Not much to see. I didn't mind the number of runners, but the entire trail is next to the roadways and there is a lot of traffic.

Memorial Park is an open place with trees where Houstonians, thousands of them, come to walk and run. As parks go, it is decidedly ordinary and relatively featureless. It is often really crowded and finding a place to park a vehicle can be challenging. Why it is such a massive draw while another big park, Hermann, is largely ignored and... More

This park suffered greatly from the loss of trees a couple of years ago but is regaining its beauty. The jogging trail is the best (a legacy of Enron when it was a community leader) there are tennis courts and a golf course.

I was recently back in Houston on business and a highlight of my trip was the 3 mile loop around the Golf Course and Tennis Center in Houston. A well maintained and wide compacted and crushed gravel track is easy on the legs and feet while the sights are easy on the eyes. Runners and walkers are respectful and friendly... More

Wow! been there at night and it gets really scary! A leafy wood right in the middle of the city. Go spend a few hours and get tanned or have a pic nic.

One of the best courses in houston, lots of golf on a public park. No coolers on golf carts, but they do provide service in bags, and bought a xx lager white styro cooler for 9 bucks and asked permission to the marshal, and a good tip to the cart service and you get ice about 3 times and if...
