Great place for a picnic, people watch, let the kids run around, and get a little exercise. The 3 miles is an easy walk. more
Were there on a Sunday morning - the place was packed! All kinds of walkers and runners, but it didn't FEEL as crowded as it was. Lots of dogs walking and running with their people - great place! If you are a runner and don't consider cement to be a suitable running surface, then Memorial Park is a great 3 mile run while visiting Houston.
