We attended an opening night performance. We were well greeted upon arrival and offered assistance to find our seats! The facilities were exemplary and all members of staff were welcoming. Tip - email to enquire about Nexus tickets! We were very fortunate to get prime seats at awesome prices. We cannot express our thanks for the gracious assistance.

We attended the opera and everything was very comfortable and was a great evening. Eugene Onegin was the opera and although it was nearly sold out, we had no problems with parking or seating. Park underground in the safe parking lot and walk directly into the theater through the tunnel. The set was inspiring and fascinating and the cast was... More

World-class opera. We saw Eugene Onegin, featuring the same sets and costumes that were in the Metropolitan Opera's production. The tenor who sang the role of Lensky was absolutely wonderful! This is a BIG, steeply raked hall. Acoustics seemed good, and sight lines were also very good.

First time to the Houston Grand Opera; enjoyed Tosca immensely. Didn't save money by accepting "obstructed legroom" but it did put us on the front row of the Level 5 balcony. Excellent talent and presentation. When I go again I will pay to be closer to the symphony and stage. I wouldn't recommend "obstructed legroom" unless guests are short. 2.5... More

Over the years, I have grown to appreciate the art of opera. I have even started traveling to see productions in houses around the world. While some were more glamorous ( and others weren't), I am always impressed by HGO. The history of the building (mostly privately financed, thank you Gus Wortham, et al; and on time and under budget).... More

Venue at Wortham is gorgeous. Parking is easy. Seats were comfortable. Performaces were amazing. The intermissions were too short though.

Loved this production! We didn't eat before the show, and decided to grab something at the intermission... bad idea - best to just have a glass of wine or something sparkly so you can savour at a more humane pace ...instead of rushing through (a very yummy) meal... not a lot of time, and we did pre-order. In any case...... More

We have traveled to Houston to attend the opera three times and have never been disappointed. Its always a wonderful experience at the Wortham Center. Great art and great space combined. Excellence like this doesn't happen by accident and everything and everyone from the moment you enter the hall until the moment the curtain falls is committed to making your... More

Saw Riverboat 7th row center. Great sound, excellent lighting and was thoroughly entertained the entire time. HGO is doing a great job of bringing entertaining works to Houston arts and entertainment patrons.
