If you are going to the Museum for the first time, plan to spend the entire day. There is the museum proper, the permanent exibits, the butterfly dome, the Imax theatre, the planetarium, the observatory and any extra exhibits you might want to see. My husband and I see most exhibits as they pass through HMNS. We have also attended Mixers and Elixers where the museum is open at night with drinks and a dj. It's a great time in a unique setting. This is a great place to take the kids. We like to pack a picnic lunch and eat across the street in Hermann Park. Hmm, this museum does have some good exhibits, especially for kids. They have a black light in the hallway leading to the planetarium. Natural history museum was interesting but quite expensive if you want to do anything more than the basic museum tour. Plan on spending around a $100 for a family of three if you want to see even two of the other exhibits. more
