This makes a nice spot to learn of the history of the Rio Grande Valley. It is well worth a visit. Our guide was very informative, and had a great time telling us of the history of the area.

We enjoyed our time at the Harlingen Arts & Heritage Museum. The buildings were very well done and it was fun to wander through them at our own pace.

My heading refers to the current exhibit which went on display tonight, a Christmas tree exhibit which runs logically until Christmas. This museum is filled with treasures. The old buildings transported there are only a small part. The really interesting collection is in the big buildings in the rear. There are also temporary exhibits inside the front building. Some of them can be quite unique.

I love to check out museums in small towns to learn a little about the history of the area. This free (donations accepted) museum was one of the better ones I have been to during my travels. It has a few historical buildings you could walk through set up with old artifacts from the area. The buildings are air-conditioned too... More

We enjoyed the little museum... It's old and tired in a few of the exibit buildings. But it gives a nice historic review of the history of the area. Stop in and enjoy it.
