Very nice people!

Gruene Hall had some of the nicest and helpful people working. This is just a neat place to go and have a cold drink and sit and listen to the music.

Great band - Two Tons of Steel- on a legendary stage! I loved Gruene Hall! A true Texas Dance Hall with a huge outdoor patio, cold beer, and great live music! We danced all night!

Gruene Hall is a Texas icon! It is the oldest dance hall in the State of Texas and it is a must see and do while in New Braunfels. We recently took some Canadian friends here for one of the week day free concerts and they were wowed by what they saw. We attend concerts at Gruene Hall often and... More

Our questions were answered by a fellow traveler who helped answer all our questions. Such an a shame that property... More

The coldest beer I've had in a couple of days, and one of the coolest places in town. Everyone in the country music business has played here. John Prine, Willie Nelson, and of course George Strait. You could spend hours looking at all the photo's on the walls. I didn't realize John Travolta shot part of the movie Michael from... More

What is really very impressive about this place is the free music on the weekends in the afternoon. These are top-notch performers, giving it everything they have got and it doesn't cost the viewer a thing. What a wonderful gift to bestow.

A member of our travel party visited this place in the early nineties and still remembered it vividly. So when where in San Antonio and had some time to visit Austin we had to made a stop at Gruene Hall. It was Sunday early afternoon a great band was playing and there was a great audience. We had a great... More
