I am not a big country music fan but this place rocks. I loved it. The atmosphere is just perfect. We went on a Wednesday night (by chance-no cover charge!) and The Georges were playing. They lit up the place for an hour. Jammed out! My wife and I don't dance very much so we just watched the others and... More

Visit the Gruene hall. Our favorite spot in Texas! If you love live music this is the place. Free music almost every day. Sometimes concerts with cover. Nice relaxed athmosphere. Gogogo!

Went to Gruene Hall last night. Music by Grouchy like Riley. Music was greatly varied. Would have liked more Country but was able to dance to many songs.

It's a family favorite. They certainly could have a larger beverage selection for how much business they do. But we have no complaints we always have a great time at Gruene Hall.

We went to see Asleep at the Wheel. To me one of the perfect bands to see at Gruene Hall! The sound was excellent. We stopped by early to see the whole place and have a drink. Not it is a cash only bar.

We loved the fun shops, the Gristmill River Restaurant and especially the Gruene Hall where we had a beer, listened to a live country band and watched couples dancing, all in the middle of an afternoon. It was happy, upbeat, fun, friendly atmosphere. We have many happy memories from our visit to the beautiful Hill Country of Texas!

What to add to all these accolades? In a land becoming overrun with condos and tollways and Buc-ees, it is such a relief to visit Gruene Hall. Listen to the creaky floor, immerse yourself in the autographed photos of legendary musicians when they were rookies, and slowly sip a Texas beer on one of the carved-up tables. Shop if you... More

We had the pleasure of going to Gruene in New Braunfels, TX to watch Steve Earle perform. This place resonates history! From the worn floor boards that you can feel bouncing with the beat, to the original local ads from the 1930's &1940's lining the walls- this place has seen it all! One of our trip's highlights, and a must-see... More

We attended the Loretta Lynn concert there and really enjoyed the show. However, the aggravation preceeding the concert was beyond comprehenaion, especially with the amount of concerts given there. There is no reason to be so disorganized, nor so not give a damn about how much they lack in giving a damn if things run smoothly. You know there is... More
