This park is always real nice and clean but during this summer (2015) most of the park is closed due to high waters of joe pool lake and most of the park won't be open till September of this year. Their are spots open for camping and it's real peaceful out here this week.

We have been camping here for years and have never had a complaint other than the long line to re-enter the park after we have paid our entrance fees. That has since been corrected with another lane for those who do not need to pay again. This year with the flooding many of the campsites are closed. There is no... More

A great place to go camping with family or friends all campsites are very clean and kept up. Places for RV camping, Tent camping and they have cabins for rent as well.

We camped here for a week while visiting Fort Worth/Dallas. It is a great central location making it easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go: Astros; Ft Worth Botanic Gardens; Dallas Zoo; Lone Star Park Race Track. Also there are great trails for hiking and biking and the lake is good for fishing with a shack for renting... More

I've camped at Loyd Park a number of times over the years. Every year they add more things for folks to do. And more folks come out to do those things. I have no idea how they keep everything so clean with the amount of people who visit. For that reason I gave the park a 3 instead of a... More

I live in Arlington which is right by Loyd Park so maybe I am a bit biased. But I absolutley love this park. I have stayed in the cabins, pitched a tent and now we have an RV so I have stayed in the camper sites. They have so many different sites depending upon what you like. Ones that are... More

One of our stops on our vacation for this year. Really nice campground would be willing to stay here again however there are a few things that need improvement. 1) the bathrooms don't have hand soap, 😳. 2) no laundry. 3) no camp store, but they do have a sign that say there is on coming soon.

We have camped at Loyd Park many times with the Scouts. It feels like we have driven far away to camp in the country, and yet the city is right nearby. The proximity to our Metroplex home makes it superb. One can camp, hike, fish, ride bikes and cook smores. Great place.

We live in Arlington so Loyd Park is only 15 minutes from us. We love to get away on the weekends. Perfect place to do so and lots to do!!!!
