This is just a lovely theater from 1886 that was renovated in 2013. I thought it was just beautiful. There is not a bad seat in the house. I saw "A Streetcar Named Desire", which I found to be a very excellent production. Please see a show here and keep this wonderful place and theater company in business for another... More

We spent Saturday evening watching the live play A Streetcar Named Desire. What amazing an amazing performance. The Opera House it self is gorgeous from the beautiful chandliers to the sweeping staircases and balcony. Well worth a trip to Granbury.

There is nothing not to like! The building is beautiful, the seats are comfortable, and they all seem to have a good view of the stage. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Granbury Opera House has been restored and is open! The sweeping staircase to the balcony and beautiful chandelier welcome guests into the lobby. The theater itself has a larger stage area than before, and the seating is great! I thoroughly enjoyed the production of "A Christmas Carol" in December. Welcome back Opera House!

Having loved this place the whole time I've lived here in Granbury, I am so excited to have toured the renovation/construction and found that it is on schedule and on pace to open as planned at the beginning of December! It is going to be beautiful....there has been some confusion with where to get info, but you can find the... More

The Opera House is undergoing renovations - we hope. Peering through the window revealed that the building is gutted and there is no back wall. The facade is lovely and I hope they saved what they could from the interior.

We attended the musical 1776 held in the courthouse. It was very good and we enjoyed our evening. For a small community the vocals were very good. It was a little hard to catch all they were saying due to the sound and British accents that were attempted but over got the great story of the writing of the Declaration... More

Been a sting of good shows, one a month. I have season tickets. Now playing at the old Granbury Live venue (also on the Square) while their home location the Opera House, gets renovated.

I've been to a couple of performances at the Opera House and it was enjoyable and we were close to the stage. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Small, cozy theatre.

The Opera house is in the midst of repairs, but the theater actors put on a mystery dinner at the Nutt House Museum that was wonderful. The actors circulated through the audience before the meal to answer questions and then presented the murder after the main course was consumed. Very few patrons solved the mystery, except for 2nd grade teachers... More
