This is one of the best reasons to live in Georgetown! The park offers walking/bike trails, gardens, baseball fields, the recreation center, community center, disc golf, fishing, great playgrounds, bird watching, people watching, flowing water and more! If the climate would just cooperate and stay between 70 and 80 degrees year round, it would be even better. So, next time... More

Sat on a bench with my friend overlooking the river near the San Gabriel park, wonderful walkway through the quaint town of Georgetown. Well maintained and worth the walk.

I have lived in Georgetown and with the San Gabriel River for 26 years. You can't compare it and I just hope with the gorgeous apartments being built on it and restaurants near it with Downtown Georgetown to walk and the park near by which has the river running thru it continues to grown and multiply. The park that the... More

Clean grounds, water the kids can actually play in, clean restrooms, very large park areas. We've been going there for events for years. The activity room is very nice.

Made this place not as attractive as it normally is because of the drought, but still nice hiking in attractive peaceful surroundings. Enjoyed the topography of the place, need to read up on the geology. Very pretty, very serene, but lots of loose rock.

I took my parents (86 and 82) and my kids (11 and 13) to this park for a day out and we had a wonderful time and a great opportunities for photos. My parents were so impress that TX has a beautiful green park like this. We enjoyed the weather and saw other kids fishing with their parents. A great... More

Although the river is a little low, the park continues to draw crowds. It is a great place for family and friends to hang out, fish, play some ball, etc.

This cool, shady park on the San Gabriel River has been around for a long time and is constantly being upgraded. It has playgrounds geared to toddlers and some for the older kids, a skateboard area, walking/jogging trails that are measured, huge shade trees to picnic under and resident ducks to feed. You can fish or wade in the usually... More

My wife and I. Ride our bikes regularly on vacations. This is a easy (follows a river - few hills) very scenic ride. Don't forget to have breakfast at the monument cafe near the trailhead. Do it you wont be sorry
