Beautiful little river

The park that was along side the river was great. Nice clear water, lots of ducks, and a long trail that appeared to be walk or bike friendly.

This is the main river with two forks that run though Georgetown. Trails start from the dam and go to San Gabriel Park. The south fork goes to Blue Hole and has been expanded past that recently. Plenty of parks with parking places to start and stop in smaller walks or you can do the whole 11 miles! Just wish... More

Great running trails that double for biking trails. Tails are reasonably long, but you'll need a plan to go off trail if biking because they're not long enough fir a good bike ride. One of the best aspects of living in Georgetown!

Great Bike trails and the bikes are available to rent for free at the tourist shop downtown !!! Make sure you pick up a trail map and you can ride your bike straight from downtown to the river and enjoy the trails with great views and there is even a few small waterfalls! Some pack some water and a luch... More

This huge park is close to Georgetown, TX and has many nice amenities. There are many covered picnic areas with tables, walking paths along the river, restroom facilities, soccer fields and assorted recreation facilities all in close proximity. There were many different events taking place the day we were there. An Alzheimer's walk, a memorial service, birthday parties, family picnics,... More

We've been to the blue hole on multiple trips and its a blast! Bring nets for the kids because there's tons of fish that come right up next to you! There's also multiple levels of cliffs that many people including ourselves were jumping off of! Parking can be difficult but we haven't had a problem, we usually pull up right... More

There is a well kept walking/bicycle track above the river bank of the San Gabriel River in Georgetown, Texas, that can be taken for a number of miles. Wildliffe abounds and for the avid twitcher there are plenty of birds to find. There are benches along the way and play equipment for children near the fork of the river. Kayaking... More

Was pleasantly surprised when I took my teenage daughters for a walk along the river. Even though the summer temps are so unbearable the river was a beautiful place to swim, wade, fish and eat. There's plenty of shade when you need it and plenty of places to explore the nature.

Thank Diane V
