Just driving over the river bridge on I35 on my way home and got a beautiful pink and gold sunset. Didn't get out of car or find my way to the river below, but that is on the books!

We walked from the main park down the south San Gabriel river walkway, saw squirrels, duck and geese. Then we walked back by the north fork which was equally beautiful And had benches along the way and drinking fountains. It was easily accessible by wheelchair too. A nice 2-4 mile walk.

From San Gabriel Park to Lake Georgetown Dam round trip roughly 14 miles a great hike mostly paved. The trail follows the river in many areas.

If you look at the rock bed of the creek around US183 near Leander, TX you might be able to identify the dinosaur tracks. It's a fun place to take the kids for a day out and a picnic.

We parked on South Rock to connect to the trail. The sun started setting so we didn't walk as long as we had hoped but this is an easy, fun walk. The water is clear enough to see little and bigger fish. There are ducks and birds, picnic tables along the way. Has that comfortable vibe of bike riders, kids,... More

The park that was along side the river was great. Nice clear water, lots of ducks, and a long trail that appeared to be walk or bike friendly.
