Schlitterbahn is a big waterpark, with well-kept public areas and rides. The park is not the problem. The crowd is the problem: in the last few years they have developed a gang problem that the management seems perfectly willing to accept as long as they get their money. I would rather drive to a park that is further away, or... More

Howdy, Thanks for visiting Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark and glad that you and the boys had a great time during our Spring Break season. With the park being enclosed, guests still have the opportunity to play in the water from rainy days. When lighting and thunder are present is when we will ask guests to exit the water for safety... Oh. My. Gosh. There is nothing related to indoors or warm about this! When they put a message on their website about the "extreme cold weather" in March in Texas, it should give you a clue that they are making an excuse. I love the New Braunfels location and have a season pass, but I feel cheated for spending $30... More

Hello, Thank you for visiting Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark. We are sorry for the unpleasant experience you encountered while visiting. Our heated indoor waterpark is very different than other indoor waterparks, and although there are many positive attributes to our convertible technology and the uniqueness of our indoor waterpark, it is very important to know that cooler than normal outdoor... Me and two teenage boys went and had a blast!!!! Love the river that actually has rapids or waves. Love the beaches and the bar in the hot tub.

Howdy, Thanks for visiting Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark and glad to hear that you and your boys had a great time! Our river system is definitely a unique attraction at Schlitterbahn Galveston with our White Water Rapids attraction or Torrent River attraction with the waves. Very disappointed. They call it the "heated indoor season". Wrong! The only water heated was one outdoor pool which was basically a big hot tub. The lazy/wave river was absolutely freezing! The frozen wave pool wasn't working and was very dirty. The handful of slides open were fun but within a couple of hours we were ready to go both... More

We arrived on Friday morning during Spring Break with kids age 2-5. Since it was Spring Break, I can only comment on about one-third of the park, but that was plenty of ground to cover with the under-five crowd. We lasted about three hours including a lunch break. The air was warm indoors, but the water in the river was... More

Greetings, Thanks for coming out to Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark. We appreciate the time that you and your family gave to us that day. Our heated indoor waterpark is different and it's important to know that cooler than normal outdoor temperatures may affect the heated indoor experience. When I saw the words "indoor heated water park" I thought it would be perfect for spring break! Wrong! The only thing that was heated was the outside pool with a swim up bar. I guess it is my own fault for thinking that it would be similar to the indoor Great Wolf Lodge water park. Other than the outdoor... More

Came for spring break "indoor season". We bought tickets online thinking it would expedite entry into the park. Nope. We were told told to go to the back of the line because we had to exchange tickets for wristbands. 3 ticket windows open, over 100 people in line outside in the cold rain. Finally got inside. 12x12 locker was barely... More

Greetings, Thanks for coming out to Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark. We apologize for the experience that you have encountered while visiting the park. We have everyone exchange the printed online tickets for the wristbands for security reasons. Also, the bands give everyone the freedom to exit and enter that park as many times throughout the day. I quess I expected heated "indoor water park" We found it to be a thrown together outdoor water park trying to be an indoor water park. It was very cold and only had four rides. Not worth the money.

My wife and I went with the children, ages ranging from 6 to 17, before school started. This was our third trip to Galveston Schlitterbahn, and everyone had a great time as always. The younger children have less stamina, and so we went in the afternoon, at a discounted admission. There is plenty to do, and being able to carry... More

Greetings, Thanks for revisiting Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark. We are happy that everyone in the family enjoyed their return visit last August. Little ones can be a handful, but we do highly recommend the afternoon discount admission if guests have to make a short visit. Especially since the park is less popular at that time of the day. A lot... More
