We wrote Mails.. tryed to phone .. no answers over days. Better be shure, and have a deal with them before you start. Just to go there and jump in is a bad idea ! They dont go out on bad weather, or windy days ! Thats ok ! But they should answer mails and phone calls.. More

An excellent, relaxing & interesting ride thru the city. Focused mostly on old houses, their history, & the history of Galveston. One small criticism; they need to update their cassette tape to CD. The tape is very old; sort of hard to hear because of static; & needs to update recent historical events... Like hurricane Ike... Although the driver did... More

We made plans to wake up early and make the 1.5 hour trip to Galveston and start with this tour which also takes 1.5 hours. We weren't disappointed! Other than Tripadvisor listing the location wrong, all was just as described. A few blocks west on the seawall from the described location is the actual tour pickup point. You'll learn things... We really liked this tour of the Island. It is on an open air (pink) tram which was great as the temperature was 95+. Our driver was pleasant and informative. The tour has a taped dialog explaining different sites along the way, and the driver updates the recording with additional information. The tour is really informative and interesting- Galveston has... More

This is a very small one man operation, and sometimes his schedules are changed, but it is worth the wait , it is the best informational tour we took and the driver/owner kept us laughing. We loved the little pink train!!!! More

As a longtime resident of Houston, and a frequent visitor to Galveston, on our most recent trip we finally decided to take the tram tour of the island. After doing so, I can highly recommend that everyone partake in this most unexpected pleasure. It was both informative and very interesting. Everyone in our group loved hearing of island history and... More

I thought it was a great tour. It lasts over an hour and a half though, and small children might not do well with it, as it is not actually a train ride. It is more like a jeep pulling you along in a covered wagon type thing with hard seats. It only costs ten bucks, and the tour guide... More

This tour isn't as hard to find as I thought it was. Just look for the pink tram train parked along the Seawall and walk up to it. I wasted time looking for an office or storefront. I would advise, however, stepping into Wendy's across the street for a restroom stop and to pick up a soda for the tour... More

The Treasure Isle train is well worth the $10 cost. It is probably most appealing to adults as it's about a 2 hour trip but, after coming to Galveston for a number of years, I learned and went to alot of places I never new anything about. I would recommend that you do it at the beginning of your trip... More
