The show was fabulous and made the trip complete. The Grand is just what you'd expect with such a name. Staff there was helpful and friendly.

The building itself is a work of art, a performance. If you can catch a show here, do it. Arrive early so you will have time to look around and appreciate the beauty and architecture.

Not much from the outside, but once inside, this place is gorgeous! A must-see attraction well worth the $2 admission price!

I love the 1894 Grand Opera House. They have great shows and the building is just gorgeous! You can also take a tour when there are not performances and to see it when you just want to stop in is great.

Sat in the orchestra, but we kept looking around and enjoying the ambiance of late 19th century decor. The Opera House is small enough so it seems every seat is very close to the stage. We saw The Texas Tenors and the concert was wonderful. Sound effects were perfect, we heard every note without a problem. Bathroom lines are typically... More

Wow. What a wonderful place. $2 to wander around but people - you can't get on the stage and sing. In my case just as well. We loved it. An oasis of opulent good taste. We also met the man behind the lighting rig. All in all don't miss it.

We saw the Nutcracker and this is a really nice up close and personal venue. Priced reasonably, easy parking and just plain fun.

If you can catch a show at the Opera House...you will not be sorry. Just a visit during the heat of the day is fun...very intimate seating. For great seats expect to pay top prices...again...well worth it...last year I sat three rows away from Johnny Mathis...what a special moment.

I am always awed by the way this "Grand" theater can still make you feel at home. The theater set up makes you feel like you are part of every performance! I never fail to see my favorite performers, especially the amazing Lyle Lovett, or the various Broadway musicals in this venue for these reasons. In fact, I sat front... More

The ferry ride was nice but nothing to do after you get there. The beaches were full of seaweed (same problem they had in Galveston). No shopping only found 1 place to eat lunch and it was so busy it took over an hour to get our sandwiches.
