I have enjoyed touring the Galveston County Historical Museum downtown in the past years. It was a rainy afternoon on a recent visit, so we decided to go spend some time at the museum.

The Galveston County Historical Museum is a must, especially if you know nothing of the history of the area. It's free, it's air-conditioned and very informative. Great exhibits.
