Excellent open air golf cart tour of Galveston historic district!

We visited Galveston in early November and really enjoyed 1 hour tour of the historic district in an open air golf cart that sat a dozen people. We had a group of 6 and sat in... read more

After reviewing other comments about this tour we were very surprised by our experience. We're also quite sure our guide was not the one who conducted the tours commented on by all the positive reviewers. He was rude, disinterested, ignored questions he couldn't answer and when asked questions he should have known the answers to usually answered "don't know", or... More

We visited Galveston in early November and really enjoyed 1 hour tour of the historic district in an open air golf cart that sat a dozen people. We had a group of 6 and sat in front to hear our tour guide better. I wish I could remember her name as she did a great job and was so very... More

My mom was born on Galveston Island and moved away has a teenager and now when she comes back she just visit family. She wanted to do something more "tourist" and see the island and how things have changed and history. So we picked this tour to do and my sister was excited that it was a golf car type... More

My husband and I took the extended electric golf cart tour of Galveston and it was really good. We toured the historic area as well as the shopping and restaurant sections of Galveston Island. The tour was about an hour and we were able to use a Groupon. After the 11 am tour we had lunch at Brews Brothers on... More

It was our 2nd time taking the tour in over 30 years. Can't remember much from the first, but definitely enjoyed our second one. Print out a map from the net and just follow it street by street. Stop whenever you want to spend extra time admiring or taking photos of any particular buildings. And there are plenty to admire.... More

Take this tour and learn all about Galveston's history! Was the best thing we did while in Galveston! We purchased a Groupon and got a great deal. However, this tour would have been worth every penny without a Groupon!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable - an encyclopedia of Galveston and Texas facts and history. We took the 3 PM tour, the last of the day. It lasted 1 and a half hours and covered most of the sections of the downtown. So many beautiful old historic homes. You will need reservations, so call ahead.

We took lots of photos from the golf cart when we took the tour in early August, and looking at the photos just now reminded me to write a review. We covered a lot of ground during this 1-plus hour tour, seeing all the historical sights of Galveston. The tour guide described everything we saw, but it was very fast... More

We were able to get the best photos from the back seat of the extended golf cart., sitting backwards. We could angle both left and right without people's heads getting in the way. Plus we could sit together without a 3rd person squeezed in. The guide was excellent with tons of information as well as great voice projection. We could... More
