Pleasant way to explore with the sea on one side and the restaurants and other options on the other side with easy access. There is parking along the sea wall on the sea side and easy access to businesses you may discover by chance on the other side.

Running, walking, cycling.....the seawall is the best place to exercise with the most wonderful view of the water. Good for people watching when it is warm and almost always a nice breeze!

Really enjoyed the walk along here, made even better by the informative artwork that decorated the benches at regular intervals. Could stop for a coffee and some lunch and shop one side with the beach the other. Very nice indeed, even in the fog!

There are sections of the seawall that have no beach ever, some that always have beach and some that have a disappearing beach. Pay attention or else your stuff may float away! Be careful when walking along the granite blocks. It's easy to catch your foot and twist an ankle if you don't watch where you're going. Also watch out... More

I stayed at the LaQuinta west just across the street from the seawall. I enjoyed walking and people watching on the wall.

For a kid growing up in the 70's in the middle of nowhere America it was one of my biggest wishes to go to Galveston. I am glad I got to do it. But I will never go again unless I am getting on a cruise ship

Took a quick walk by the water and took in the view of the Gulf. Loved it! My husband and I took a quick trip and stayed along the coast in different towns in Texas for four nights and saw the sights for each. Lots of options for lodging along the water with great views.

nice, good parking. quite a drop off though and no fence so you want to watch small children carefully. Saw dolphins really close in on a couple of days.

My impression of Galveston as ugly and industry spoiled was quickly dispelled on my first visit. Although there are oil rigs and many signs of industry there, the beach shore line was well kept and very much more intriguing than I would have imagined. I will definitely be back!

The wall itself is nothing really special (at least as tourist attraction), but walking along the beach can be pretty nice.
