There was quite a bit of trash on the beach. We were in surfside beach in July and it was a lot nicer.

The seaweed on Galveston beach is a detriment. While we were walking sometimes the seaweed rotting smell was very overpowering

The ocean was pretty crowded with Sea Weed on this trip. But still beautiful views, the sound and smell of the Gulf was relaxing.

I've been to Galveston several times now, we usually leave out of there for our cruises. We almost always stop at the sea wall and walk it. The first time I visited it was shortly after a hurricane and it had been damaged some, and portions were closed and run down. When we returned again almost two years later they... More

I love walking on the seawall, even in the rain. Convenient access to the beach. Lots to do on the seawall, from restaurants, shopping, amusements on the pier. Love the rocking chairs at Murdocks.

We love strolling down Galveston's Seawall. Lots of room for bikes, walkers, and buggies. You can walk and check out the statues, or historical markers. Cross over and grab you something to eat at The Spot!!

The City of Galveston's parking fees are a mess! You have to park inland and walk several blocks to the beach! You can rent just about anything! The City of Galveston is doing a good job of keeping the seaweed at bay!

The beach looked dirty and uncared or unappreciated. The beach is a treasure but it looked uninviting abd a little creepy. I would not let my children on the beach. The city of Galveston needs to clean up the beach, every day!
