It's just a highway with a wall. Not really an attraction, but worth a photo and maybe a short stroll when the weather is nice.

Take a stroll along the seawall and enjoy the sound of the surf. Its fun to walk and enjoy the breeze. Folks skate, skate board, bike ride, jog and walk on the historic seawall. It is a great civil engineering feat built after the Great 1900 storm to protect the island. A must see for everone.

The odor was overwhelming! There was quite a lot of seaweed on the sand not sure if that was the problem or what. We were there a week and it was nice except for the Seawall area.

Park and walk or rent bicycles from one of the vendors. We suggest parking around 25th street, and walking in one direction on the seawall then drop down and walk along the beach till you return to where you vehicle is parked. We love to eat at "The Spot", you'll see why when you get there.

Sidewalk is along the beach for running/exercise. Unobstructed view of the shoreline. Historical markers along the shore tells of the events tat took place since the mid 1800's in the development of the Seawall as you see it today.

This has always been my favorite part of Galveston. The history of the why the sea wall was there as well as how it is used today to stroll, bike or skate down the lane and people watch is just awesome.

We stayed across from the seawall. How much fun it was to sit on balcony and watch the people walking or riding bikes along the path. The beautiful Gulf created a wonderful backdrop for the stores, restaurants, lodgings, and shops. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the seawall could be enjoyed from our balcony! What a beautiful setting!

We live on the Seawall. The fall and winter has the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The colors are amazing. Every morning when I wake up the first thing I do is look out my window. It's fun to watch the weather change coming in off the water. I have seen water funnels and waves that are amazing. Clouds that... More

We stayed at a hotel on Seawall Blvd. I enjoyed having my morning coffee watching the sun rise while sitting along the seawall.

I love the beach!! The seawall is a great place to sit and listen to the waves. You won't find great shells and sometime the beach was an over growth of seaweed on it; but it is still a good place to visit.
