Great early morning walk.

We truly enjoyed our walk and drive along the sea wall. Lots of Great parking for vehicles. Not a lot of people out early morning on the beach.

Great to park right on the sea wall and jot down the steps to the beach. If I'm really lazy it's nice just to pull over and watch the waves and people from your car. Fourth of July you can park on the sea wall and watch the fireworks show from your car or just park and join the people... More

Beautiful day at Galveston Beach. The big crowds the week before were not there on Friday. It was wonderfully sunny with a light breeze off the Gulf.

This summer vacation was amazing. Our family rented a vacation home 3 blocks away from the seawall. The water was great with no seaweed. The beach was clean. At night the family and I walked the seawall nightly..the breeze was amazing and plenty of entertainment....can't wait for summer of 16 vacation

Seems like poor planning by Galveston to put highway between hotels and beach. Leap frog to get family to beach, and instead of hearing waves braking from your room you hear cars zooming past at 50 mph and car radios. Not my idea of a nice beach. Plus covered in tar thanks to BP.

My husband and I went to Galveston on a work week (arrived Monday and left Wednesday) in July. We wanted to avoid the craziness of the weekend. We stayed at the Double Tree Hotel on the Seawall. I highly recommend that hotel. The area was busy, but we knew it may be since it is summer time. The beach and... More
