Enjoyed the beaches all along the seawall. We enjoyed east end beach and the went west to Jamaica Beach. It's the Gulf coast, what could you not like.

We stayed at a house near the seawall, but preferred to drive and park along the seawall for ease in getting our gear to the beach. The beach and water were so clean this year...no seaweed or jellyfish! It was just beautiful! We set up near Stewart Beach and loved the chair and beach umbrella rentals. Quite reasonable if you... I will start by saying that every time I mention this area of Texas, people think I am crazy for loving it like I do! It feels like home. I can't explain it really. It feels historic, like I have been there before. We will visit every time we're in the state.

We enjoyed walking along the seawall in the evening. We found lots of crab hiding among the granite rocks. You can't beat Mother Nature. We've been at other beaches, but this was so clean when we visited.

We visiting the beach over a couple days at different times. Mid afternoon was the busiest with familes. We had 2 dogs with us, they had a great time, several other dogs were at the beach around dusk. They were all on leashes, so it made it a nice no issues.

This is a nice beach and very rich in history! Especially in the history of the hurricane of 1900! The seawall is 17 feet high and is how high the entire city of Galveston was raised to prevent future catastrophic hurricane damage.

The heart and soul of Galveston, not the prettiest beach in the world, but it is cleaned daily. Seawall Blvd is extremely busy, a testament to it's popularity. Walk, drive, or bike the seawall and if you get bored your just not trying. Sit on the deck at Murdoch's and have a beer with the sea breezes blowing your cares... More

History and the future. It is an amazing fun and functional thing. It is an enjoyable place to walk or jog whilst enjoying Gulf breezes.
