We went the Sat. after Thanksgiving got there about 6:15pm. The lines were long to buy tickets but moved quickly, I think we got our tickets in under 30 mintues. The line for the ladies restroom in the aquarium was long and didn't move quite so fast. Kids 7and 11 both enjoyed the festival of lights. If you want to... more

This was our second year going to Moody Gardens. We enjoyed it so much last year, we brought two more families with us this year. The cost was not an issue until I was charged an extra $100.00 dollars a week later for some unknown reason (I paid out my final bill upon check out). I have tried to contact... more

Visited Moody Gardens with my wife and step-son over Labor day 2009 weekend. The normal single-day passes had been reduced from the normal 45.00/per person cost to $39.00/per person however with the still visible damage from huricane one year ago they really should reduce the price by 50%. The Rainforest pyramid is still very alive with plants but all the... more

Sand and Seas property rented us this beachfront condo but neglected to tell us the walkovers were all damaged- most unusable to get to the beach. My husband and I are senior citizens and although we knew the elevator at the condo was in disrepair we did not know the Beach Club had an unusable elevator making it impossible for... more

Definatly do the Day Pass, it pays for itself bc then you can do everything. We spent a whole Friday there and did everything but the dino ride (my youngest wasn't tall enough). We brought our cooler but kept it in the truck, had I thought about it when we rode the steamboat at Noon we could have ate our... more

Seven of us decided to go to Moody Gardens for the day on August 6, 2009. The kids ages were 3, 5, 8, the rest adults. We bought the day pass and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was a great bargain for a day of fun. We saved money by buying the tickets online and didn't have to wait in line.... more

The day we went they claimed to have pump problems due to Hurricane Ike and that is why it smelled like sewer. Why would you have pump problems 11 months later? They offered no discount. We did the Colonel paddleboat which boasts seeing wild life. The only wild life is the gulls that Hoover the boat. All the boat does... more

I never write reviews, but I am so disappointed and actually feel ripped off. I am the type of person that when it comes to trips, money is no object if it is worth it. I had a problem with my reservations. They showed that we had booked 2 rooms which we did not. The manager was very rude and... more

Went to MG w/my two kids age 4 and 6 for a quick trip from Houston. Stayed at the MG hotel and purchased the 2-day package. The rainforest was very boring has nothing but Macaws and very few flowers even - they should turn it into a butterfly exhibit. We really enjoyed the aquarium though. Palm Beach was ok, but... more

We went to the Moody Gardens Aquarium and were done in 30 minutes. Very small aquarium. The penquins were fun to watch but that's the only really interesting exhibit. We had wanted to go to the Rainforest but they told us it's just a botanical garden now. Disappointing. more
