Seven of us decided to go to Moody Gardens for the day on August 6, 2009. The kids ages were 3, 5, 8, the rest adults. We bought the day pass and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The day we went they claimed to have pump problems due to Hurricane Ike and that is why it smelled like sewer. Why would you have pump problems 11 months later? They offered no discount. We went to the Moody Gardens Aquarium and were done in 30 minutes. Very small aquarium. The penquins were fun to watch but that's the only really interesting exhibit. We had wanted to go to the Rainforest but they told us it's just a botanical garden now. Disappointing. more
