My visit was in 2012 during their monarch butterfly release. Very fun place to visit with lots to see but the butterfly house was my favorite.

The main house is beautiful with gifts and seeds galore. Then you go outside to see what they are currently growing to harvest for seed. There are butterflies galore, water features, birds, etc. LOVED IT! They have plants and pots for sale outside also. They also have food gifts and wines from all the different wineries around Fredericksburg. You can... More

I had always wanted to come to the Hill Country when the bluebonnets were in full bloom, but, due to Mother Nature and the timing of our trip, the wild flowers were just past their peak. No matter! The bluebonnets still filled an entire field here, right next to the gorgeous red and yellow poppies. Thank goodness for digital cameras:... More

Terrible- don't bother. The rest of the store is very good. We bought seed to plant this fall. Even the grandchildren thought the ice cream was bad.

We stopped in on our last trip to the wine country. It was early Feb. so the flowers were not blooming. The gift shop has a great variety of items. We enjoyed the tasting room. Staff was really friendly. I plan to return when the fields are in full bloom.

If you're not visiting when there are fields of wildflowers in bloom, then it's like visiting a very big nursery with extras like a gift shop and a cafe. There were some small plots of wildflowers in bloom, but it felt very much like walking through an allotment. We had come hoping to see big fields of wildflowers, so we... More

We love stopping in for visits and always enjoy all the neat stuff. We usually bring along any guests we have just for the uniqueness and experience. We love it best when the lavender is in bloom because they plant it in the surrounding fields and it makes for some beautiful scenery. I always find the neatest gifts too when... More

It's a diversified property with all the shops plus the flowers and plants. We were looking for lavender fields & found this place instead. Wow! It's awesome. It has a nicely landscaped layout with paths thru out the planting area and it made for a very enjoyable visit (even without all the wildflowers in bloom). Nice touches like benches for... More

The property is always so lovely. Great place to get ideas for the yard and fun planters and decor. The seeds are fun if you like that sort of thing- we enjoyed looking for flowers to suit our zone and light sources. There are several cats roaming about - which thrilled out son. The gift shop is not unique, except... More

Best time to visit here is spring, when fields of wildflowers are in bloom. But you won't be disappointed the rest of the year. Wildseed Farm has all kinds of pottery, planters and garden decorations, as well as live plants and bushes. There is also an inside gift shop with a wide selection books, candles, flags, and other home décor... More
