Owner description: Wildseed Farms is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, just seven miles east of Fredericksburg, Texas. Come by and see us seven days a week, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bring the camera and capture the ultimate in wildflower photographs! Spend as much time as you like at the farm's activities. We have 200 acres of wildflowers in various stages of development here on the farm. Springtime visitors will likely see Texas bluebonnets, red corn poppies, phlox, and a gorgeous array of other spring flowers. Summer visitors will enjoy cosmos, sunflowers, zinnias and other warm weather bloomers. In the fall, the fields are planted for the following year's color, but our Nursery is well stocked with a variety of choices for fall planting and colorful pumpkins adorn the grounds around The Shops at Wildseed Farms which are brimming with delightful gifts for home and garden. And don’t forget to browse our incredible selection of wildflower seeds as well as our seven regional mixes for anywhere in the U.S.

looking for wildflower seeds that can still plant, general shopping, they have a wine tasting area and sell local brewed beer.

This is always a great place to visit. Abundance of plants & seeds. I love to wander the garden with my camera when blooms are in season.

As a gardener who loves perennials and natives, Wildseed was a must visit for me. December may not be the peak time to visit, but it was enough to get me hooked on the need to come back. I found seeds for me and others, unusual planting supplies and just a paradise for any Texas gardener.

We last visited during Christmas time. The place is already beautiful but with the Christmas decorations it'd gorgeous. Find you wildflower seeds here for a gift that keeps giving! They also have many beautiful plants, wine tastings, pottery galore & clothing/jewelry. Many times the outside patio area will host musicians and you can sit back with a glass of wine... More

Wildseed Farms is another gem in the fredericksburg area! The selection of wine and local foods is great, the plants are beautiful and the butterfly garden is a nice oasis.

You name it, they have it, including a butterfly "farm" and sustainability area, lectures, home made products, wildlife products (bird products and related), even clothing. I spent a bundle on Christmas Gifts! Everyone was super helpful. Great parking even tho they were very crowded the day we went. Can't wait to go back!

We were delighted with our visit to Wildseed farms - even though most flowers were not in bloom. We especially enjoyed the butterfly garden - had a nice lunch and visit to the gift shop - wonderful seeds with good planting instructions. Hooray for Mr Thomas and Lady Bird Johnson.

we have made many trips to Wildseed Farms over the years. Spring is the most beautiful with the varied fields of wild flowers, but we just had to come back for an after Halloween fall look. If you are looking for landscape starts or the seeds of their labor , then this is the place in Central Texas to come.... More

Wildseed Farms is located a few miles east of Fredericksburg on US 290. It is a huge resource for native seeds and plants, either to buy or just to admire out in their expansive fields. It can be quite busy, especially on the weekends in nice weather, but parking is more than ample. The nice folks there are quite happy... More
