We stopped in here on a Friday afternoon in the pouring rain. LOVED the atmosphere. Old West saloon style. It was like taking a step back in time. The wines were really good and the servers knew a lot about the making and processing of each one. We bought several different wines and we will return. We should have had... More

This winery is on the west side of town as opposed to the large number of winery's on the east side of town which are all within walking distance of each other. But is is worth the drive. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and make your "wine tasting" a "wine experience". A fun atmosphere and the pizza is... More

This was not the best winery we visited but was up there. Unlike most others in the area this winery is on the west side of town and it seemed a hike to get there, although in reality it was not a long or difficult trip. The wines were pleasant and nicely presented. It was worth the effort to visit

I did not try all the wines because I am pregnant but I took the tiniest taste of the Cab and I really enjoyed it. My friends mainly like sweet wines (unlike me) and they loved this place. I did enjoy the laid back atmosphere and the pizza was delicious. It got gobbled up quickly. The ladies working were also... More

Their wood-fired oven pizza is superb... and the wine average. Fun setting; large restaurant; good service; excellent pizza; nice country surroundings.

As for others stating it's a long drive. Not at all, 10 minutes down the highway and then left down a dirt road 5 minutes. $10 to taste 5 different wines and got to keep wine glasses with logo. Didn't see any animals roaming around. They have to large tables to play checkers inside and a horse shoe pit on... More

As other posts stated, this winery is several miles away from Fredericksburg Main St, and other wineries....but we enjoyed the drive...we saw deers roaming freely on the street...so, if you are driving to this winery, just be careful, and drive slow. Wines did have a unfinished taste. Our favorite was the Twilight Ride...even though it was a touch sweet for... More

Get ready for this one! This is Texas, through and through! Although only 1 acre of grape vines, Chisholm Trail Winery is located on 80 acres of land, ranch style, with animals roaming free and just the most serene place you could ever find. And the winery itself is a very large building, countrified decor, just waiting for people to... More

This out of the way winery is worth the extra time it takes to get here. Enjoy the country drive on the way to this winery. It has very nice wines and the staff is very helpful and friendly. A big bonus is the fresh made pizzas. We set up our wine tour so that this was the last stop... More

We recently visited during their grape stomp, and were disappointed. Inside the tasting room, there was live music, which was a little too loud. The atmosphere was nice, western style, and the employees were friendly. The downside to the visit was the wine. Their wines had an unfinished taste, certainly below the quality of other wines in the area. The... More
