This new winery is a standout amongst many of the Fredericksburg area wineries. The staff is extremely friendly, and the wines are exceptional. There is a large tasting room, where you can taste 5 wines for $10, which is the going rate in the area. Being a small boutique winery, they do not have as large a selection as some... More

We recently visited Hilmy Cellars for the first time on a long weekend in Fredericksburg. Some friends had previously recommended it to us. We had a wonderful time at this winery. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and I enjoyed the wine tasting as well as a separate glass (full disclaimer: I am not a regular wine drinker, so... More

My friend and I visited Hilmy last weekend. One of the staff talked to us about each wine and then gave us recommendations for other wineries to visit in the area. They have misters on their patio so relaxing with a glass of wine is comfortable. They have dogs, and chickens roaming the place. The wine is delicious. All in... More

We visited this business as they were part of the Chillin' and Chili Hwy. 290 event that was going on. Loved the huge entrance door and large covered area outside but that was it. We were not greeted when we came in so we went to the first open spot to ask about the event and tasting and the man... More

My wife and I came here as part of a wine tour run by Majesty. Otherwise, we probably would have missed this gem. Their production is very small scale, so their wines can only be purchased directly from them or through their wine club. The pourer was very knowledgeable about each of his wines, giving a back story and describing... More

Absolutely outstanding experience at Hilmy! Cj was very helpful, friendly and smiley. We love the animals on site that are friendly and the misters out back are prefect for summer weather. See you soon!

Compared to some of the wineries Hilmy is not your Napa Valley look, but the wines are amazing and they have lots of plans to build on. The patio is nice to enjoy a glass and just take a break from the day. They had a small bbq lunch available and the dogs came to visit as well as the... More

Don't miss this vineyard while in Fredericksburg! The winery is only a few years old, but Erik Hilmy is doing magical things with Texas grapes. The contemporary Texas tasting room looks like it was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The setting creates relaxing experience. Nice selections of wines. I'll be back.

If you haven't been to Hilmy Cellars lately, you must put them on your bucket list. Their winery is just a few years old, but Erik Hilmy is doing magical things with Texas grapes. Their contemporary Texas tasting room looks like a tasting room Frank Lloyd Wright would have created. The setting inside and out leads to a relaxing experience.... More
