Highly understaffed! Was not allowed to take my tastings outside so I could sit down. Had to stand at a bar I could barely see over while ladies next too me almost elbowed me in the face several times. This place was horrible and non accommodating via the Americans with disabilities act! And yes I will be reporting this to... More

We stopped by on the weekend to experience the wine tasting which was our very first wine tasting experience. Upon entering, we were greeted with a very friendly welcome! Our 4 yr old son was with us and they seemed to be very kid friendly which made our visit more pleasant! We explained to the staff we were not familiar... More

Our visit to Hilmy this year was our first. A relatively new winery, the offerings are really nice. However, especially pleasing were the Viognier and Robin. Really good Viognier is a special find, look no further and enjoy! And if you have the opportunity to choose who guides you through the different wines, ask for Ivan. As a chef, he... More

We tried 6 wines and no swallows - all spit. Both me and wife agreed the wines were all tasting bitter like grapefruit - the staff kept telling us what great wines they were - did not buy any of their wines.

The building is adorable and when you walk in it's just as adorable. The dogs were a cute bonus on the stop. We enjoyed all of the wines and ended up bringing home a bottle of the Doo.Zwa.Zo. Glad we were able to stop due to cutting it close to closing time.

Neat place. Love the entrance door. The wine was very good. Not much of it grown in Texas, mostly from Washington state.

Hilmy was the first winery that my husband and I visited during our day in Fredericksburg and we weren't quite sure what to expect from wineries in this region. We were very pleased with Hilmy Cellars though. The rustic yet modern decor and grounds were very interesting and of course we loved seeing the dogs sleeping and roaming around the... More

Was eager to try wine and meet shop dog. Arrived and told dogs not available. Ok, lets try wine. No chairs. Have to stand at counter. A little awkward. Tried all 6 and learned that the wines aren't even from here. Blends from other grapes in other states. Really? Not worth our time. Will just stick with Becker.

Out of all the winery's on 290 this by far my favorite! The vibe and feel is so comfortable and I felt at home. The workers were so sweet and know there stuff! They make the tasting so much fun and it's not rushed. I also love the dogs around makes feel comfortable. The look to me was modern but... More

We visited on our honeymoon the last weekend of August. My favorite winery of all we visited that weekend. Cozy, inviting, and tastey!
