Main street Fredericksburg is an interesting place. What a mixture of establishments and people. I highly recommend you walk the main street and check it out. If you are a people watcher, this is especially entertaining. The businesses there seem to tired and bored with the tourists. It seems the businesses mark up almost everything in a typical tourist trap... More

Wow talk about everything you need located on one strip of the city. Be prepared to walk & spend at least a full day enjoying all the shops & people watching. Parking isn't very good as it is very hard to back out with all the traffic. I found that parking on side street or in the middle of main... More

Main Street is so fun! There is a Market Platz that has a framers market with local chefs offerening free samples, fruits and veggies, breads, etc. lots and lots of quirky little restauramts, the Nimiyz museum and lots of local farms could keep you happy here for a week. unfot\rtunately we only had a day in a 1/2. We will... More

So many shopping opportunities for a group of 6 girls! We loved main street and visited every day of our trip because there was so much to see. There are so many cute shops that contain new and old things and you can walk up and Down the streets with wine in your hand (the moms loved that)!

Main Street Fredericksburg is delightful! Nice and clean sidewalks with lots of opportunites to window shop or to stop in at one of the many restaurants, coffee shops, or wineries along the way. People are friendly, and it was great fun sitting by the big window at the front of the Auslander restaurant and people watch as we enjoyed our... More

Fredericksburg looks like a real Western City. Just there are no Cowboys shooting on the street. Very nice Country and Western Stores, some good restaurants and funny antique stores. A good place for a short visit.

What's not to love about the variety we see here. The shops are clean and welcoming and the restaurants abundant from coffee shops to breweries and wine bars. Something for everyone.

Great shopping, tourist, event & dining opportunities. The Rockbox Theater was at the top of the list for events. The LBJ Ranch Tour was great also. The Peach Tree St. Cafe & The Brewery had good food/atmosphere.

Can't not go shopping on Main Street if you're in Fredericksburg. I love just strolling down Main Street and stopping in all the shops to look around. I don't always make a purchase but the owners are still as grateful for you stopping by to take a look. Love all the food selections on Main Street as well. I also... More
