We expected more of a “German town” instead of a town with a few German touches. Nonetheless, there are lots of interesting shops and some good restaurants here. I would recommend taking half a day to peruse antiques, furniture, Christmas items, specialty foods (fudge, salsa, etc.), home décor, etc. Rustlin' Robs was a highlight. more

There are no deals or anything really unique on Main Street. However, Rustlin Rob's is worth the visit. The public restrooms in the park were very clean and convenient. The ice cream parlor on the North side of the street (don't know the name) had sugar free ice cream for us diabetics and charge by the ounce which was nice... more

I live in the great fredericksburg Texas and I enjoy Main Street... there are so many different stores.. and if I need a cute outfit I can just go to one of the many small clothing shops... it is the best and I encourage people to check it out... we have a wonderful shop called Rustlin Robs that sells cobler... more

You will not find deals nor unique items on Main Street, however the environment is nice for a relaxing weekend with family or friends. It's a fun little getaway and something to do for natives of Texas. more

I absolutely love downtown Fredericksburg. Parts Unknown, Adornments, Kate Morgan's and the Granite and Iron Co. are just a few of my favorite stores. There is a wonderful blend of quaint country shops (think southern living) mixed with high class stores like Parts Unknown and Adornments. Fantastic shopping experience. No chain stores or big boxes filled with poor quality imports. This is a series of high end stores with friendly, knowledgeable service featuring one of a kind items.
