The view is beautiful and it's just a spectacular place. Remember to go in the morning, if you go during Summer

Enchanted Rock is well worth the change of pace from Fredricksburg. A short 20 minute drive out of Fredericksburg will bring you to a place where you can stretch your legs more than going from store to store! We enjoyed the hike up to the summit, which required a couple of stops to catch our breath, but, was worth it. Nice... More

My husband I were in Fredericksburg for our 10 year anniversary and were told this was a MUST SEE. After our trip was over we packed the car and headed to Enchanted Rock as a last stop before we headed home. It is a bit of a drive but anticipated it was well worth the trip. However, we were completely... More

It was my second time there but nothing beats the feeling of success as you ascend this huge rock to get to the top and look at the beautiful scenery all around. It is something I would recommend to everybody to try. It is like a huge playground with boulders and tunnels and water. I also really enjoy the hike... More

This is an easy, enjoyable hike. Lots of picnic tables and parking BUT there was a line out onto the highway to get into the park, which was daunting. Once in there seems to be plenty of parking. On a pleasant weekend probably a good idea to call and check ahead, other visitors told us sometimes the park closes.\ Would... More

Enchanted Rock is a great place to visit, but to truly enjoy it you need to be ready for a steep climb!! It doesn't look like a big deal to get to the top of this awesome rock, but look forward to about 30 minutes of steep/straight up climbing. There are also little unexplored caves that are doable at the base, but... More

I was excited to see they allow dogs in the park! Your dog must be on a 6-ft leash. It was so much fun hiking with our two dogs, we would definitely do it again!

We had been to Fredericksburg one other time and heard about Enchanted Rock. This time we went with some friends and we all decided to hike to the top of Enchanted Rock on a Sunday morning. It was a day or so after a 5" rain (rare there) and there were a lot of little pools on the granite, which... More

Absolutly beautiful to breath taking scenery. The hiking trails are easy although some are easier than others. The price is not bad. The State Park is well kept with camp sites, playground for children, bathrooms and a gift store. The air and water are clean with no polution of either. Lots of trees in the park; but the mountain is... More
