We don't know a lot about wine and are intimidated by the many choices. The staff at this winery took the time to allow us to taste at least nine wines including a great Chrstmas wine that you serve warm. We did buy 3 bottles of wine and some of their jellies for crackers and look forward to enjoying. The... More

Stopped in during the week. Not too busy inside. You get 4 tastings for free. A single taste of port or late harvest wines runs $2/each. I tried 4 wines plus a port. I thought their wines were decently done. But as someone who prefers oak aged wines, and traditional oak aged ports, I didn't find anything I wanted to... More

Who would have thunk it. We bought a few bottles of local cabaret from here. Surprisingly good. The folks here, who I presume were the owners, we're very friendly and helpful. Before I next go to the wine regions of France, I'm coming back to the Hill Country to explore the Wine Trail and spend time in Austin.

It was the first one I went to in fredericksburg and it was the worst and wierdest wine tasting place Ive ever been to. Super serious/rude, socially akward staff make everyone feel uncomfortable. Definetely not the place to go, especially if youre on a weekend date there. It was SO embarrassing, because I thought this was how the rest of... More

We have gone to many wineries and we're surprised that there was no tour more explanation of their process. We were offered 4 tastings for free. We did purchase and when we mentioned we were on a motorcycle, she wrapped the bottle with extra padding. Another surprise was there were no public bathrooms.

Nice winery to visit in the middle of town. We parked there to go next door to the restaurant and since it was right in front of us, we took a look at it. You don't get the same experience as you will if you drive out to the other wineries, but this is convenient and very nice and clean.... More

Ok, first of all you get to taste four types of wine without paying. That is OK. What I had an issue with is that the elderly gentleman was very abrupt, in a rush and tried to make comedy out of his presentation which was lame at best. And there are many rules here... it is like going to wine... More

The GOOD NEWS - 1) the tasting is FREE 2) the wine is delicious. 3) Chocolat is right next door and they offer a FREE Liqueur filled chocolate. The BAD NEWS 1) They have RULES and get testy if you do not follow them. The rules do make sense in the sense that tasting "out of order" i.e. tasting sweet... More

This winery is on the main strip in Fredericksburg. I assume as such they get a ton of people. I didn't like how they do their tastings. They have bottles on the counter and tell you to pick six for a free tasting. They have nothing on them. They break them down by the level of sweetness and tell you... More

I know many reviewers have negative things to say about this place...my thoughts are...don't take it so personal. This is the third or fourth time we have stopped by in the last 7-8 years as we are traveling through the area. 1. We stopped by for the wine, and the wine is very good and made, bottled, and labeled on... More
