An interesting experience, for sure! Fredericksburg Winery is located in the heart of downtown Fredericksburg, Texas in a sort of strip mall area. At first, we didn’t know what to expect and had in our minds a liquor store…but no! This truly is a winery. They even make their wine right on sight. The thing that was most intriguing about... More

We visited yesterday afternoon hoping to taste a few wines to purchase. The lady at the counter was with another couple for an extensive time. My husband and I waited patiently until I overhead the couple actually say to the server that she could help us too. The server not looking up or acknowledging us said " I am taking... More

I was pleasantly surprised that they let you taste their wine for free, instead of paying $5 to $10 for a tasting which was nice. I would have purchased a bottle or two had the women behind the counter been a bit friendlier. It seemed like they just wanted to rush you down the row and not really explain the... More

I have made a number of trips to Napa, so I wasn't expecting much when taking a tour of a Texas winery. After all, Texas isn't really known for their wines....or are they...? I was pleasantly surprised when visiting this lovely, little winery. Their reds were just as surprising...nice flavor, rich aroma and color, smooth from start to finish. If... More

Fredericksburg Winery is always a fun little spot when walking up and down main street. To my understanding, the winery is family owned and they are very friendly. We have visited several times over the years and the same guys (Jack and I can't remember the other's name) are always there. What makes this place worth the stop is that... More

This was my first wine tasting experience and the woman working there with dark hair and braces was so rude! I could tell in the beginning that she was very assertive and not friendly, but I started tasting wines anyways. I didn't go in the “tasting order” that she said "explained" to so then she basically told me in the... More

These people were awful! As well as their wine. The man "helping" me was absolutely the rudest person I met in the town, actually, the rudest person I've been in contact with in years. He belittled me, informed me I knew nothing about wine, (or any alcohol for that matter) and kept challenging everything I said, even about the description... More

Went in as I was visiting Fredericksburg for the first time with my wife. My wife went to the counter and the lady asked how she could help her. My kids wanted to wait on a bench outside and I went to tell them I would be out in a few minutes. At that moment, the lady behind the counter... More

I wish I had read more of the reviews before going. It was our first Winery visit. Some of the wines were indeed good, not great. We were very careful to follow the instructions of the lady behind the counter. She is very assertive. The experience felt more like being schooled than be educated. The facility is very unimpressive. It... More

My wife & I have traveled to many wineries across the US and have come to expect, at least, a greeting within the first five minutes of arriving at a tasting. However, after about 10 minutes of standing, we finally left. Won't recommend and won't return!
