I hate to leave terrible in a review but when you deserve it you get it. Being a avid wine drinker with trips to Napa, Spain and other wine regions I can usually pick decent wine. I'm not saying Fredericksburg wine can compete with Napa even though Four Point O Cellars just outside of Fredericksburg is Napa quality and the... More

It wasn't my first visit to this winery and I raved to my friends what a great place it was only to be embarrassed at how we were treated by the woman behind the counter (who I believe is married to an owner). She guzzled her own glasses of wine (which I'm pretty sure is a violation of TABC Laws)... More

Probably the nicest staff in Fredericksburg!! The store and the staff were kid friendly and very welcoming. Bought 2 bottles of wine, Muscat Canelli (sweet) and Texitage (dry), should have picked up more both were delicious!! Tried the heated holiday wine, it's a must! I'm not a fan of sweet wine (that's the hubby) but the holiday wine was like... More

Very welcoming, friendly staff. We went in five minutes before they closed and they still offered us four free tastings. Not very impressed with any of the reds we tried, but it was a fun experience and we checked the tried local wine box for free instead of paying $10 at another shop....

This winery is located right on the Main Street of Fredericksburg and offers free tasting of 5 wines, starting with the driest wine to the sweetest wine. You have to make sure you choose the wines you want to taste carefully, as you can not go backwards. If you start in the middle with a semi sweet wine, then want to... More

The Switzer family have owned and operated Fredericksburg Winery for many years and know how to make wine. With so many award winning wines to choose from, it's hard to come out of there with just one bottle. line up a the bar and experience wine tasting at it's finest. Be sure to try their Christmas wine which is served... More

An interesting experience, for sure! Fredericksburg Winery is located in the heart of downtown Fredericksburg, Texas in a sort of strip mall area. At first, we didn’t know what to expect and had in our minds a liquor store…but no! This truly is a winery. They even make their wine right on sight. The thing that was most intriguing about... We visited yesterday afternoon hoping to taste a few wines to purchase. The lady at the counter was with another couple for an extensive time. My husband and I waited patiently until I overhead the couple actually say to the server that she could help us too. The server not looking up or acknowledging us said " I am taking... More

I was pleasantly surprised that they let you taste their wine for free, instead of paying $5 to $10 for a tasting which was nice. I would have purchased a bottle or two had the women behind the counter been a bit friendlier. It seemed like they just wanted to rush you down the row and not really explain the... More

I have made a number of trips to Napa, so I wasn't expecting much when taking a tour of a Texas winery. After all, Texas isn't really known for their wines....or are they...? I was pleasantly surprised when visiting this lovely, little winery. Their reds were just as surprising...nice flavor, rich aroma and color, smooth from start to finish. If... More
