If I was a little younger, I would've loved to climb to the top of this magnificent mountain. My son drove us there for Mothers Day and the drive was just as special, loved seeing the different landscapes change from the city of Austin. We also headed to Wimberly, TX and had lunch at a great little restaurant by the... More

Great hiking and vistas. Climbed to the top of enchanted rock and did the loop trail. Wild flowers and scenery were spectacular.

Our family had a grand adventure. Park is very clean with great restroom facilities and of course the hike was easy and the views were marvelous!

Very accessible with parking down in gorge, near by the park entrance. There's restrooms at the entrance and also at the start of the walk up to the summit of Enchanted Rock. The walk straight up is easy enough (our two and four year old managed up and down with just hand holding required) along a dirt/rocky path, but it... More

We love going to Enchanted Rock and take all of our friends there when they come to visit from out of town. The hike to the top of the rock can be done at your own pace and there are places to stop and rest if it needed. The only thing missing is place to buy water when you get... More

We hiked to the top of the summit. The rock gets pretty steep in places but once we were at the top, you could see for miles. I would not want to do it on a very hot afternoon. I would recommend good shoes. There were some in sandals, not sure how they did. Even if you do not go... More

The rock is awesome to see but the cost to get into the park is a little expensive if you just want to look. It's $7.00 per person. If you are a climber then it is worth it but I think you can see just as much driving by as you would if you paid to get in.

A unique rock formation (granitic batholith) created an exceptionally beautiful state natural area. The park offers everything from casual, low-impact hiking to strenuous hikes and technical rock climbing. Visiting in the spring gives you the best chance of viewing abundant wildflowers as well. This was probably my 10th trip to this park and I never tire of it.

We came here on a Tuesday afternoon so we didn't hit any of the traffic problems that other people have mentioned. It was a nice, sunny 80 degree day in April. We just took the summit trail and the hike took about 30-40 minutes and it's a good workout. I'm in average shape and I was pretty beat when I... More

We had a great evening hiking here! Didn't stay as long as I had planned since I made my husband walk all around Fredericksburg and he was tired of "hiking" but we loved it. The view from the top is beautiful!
