This place is amazing. When you reach the top, you can almost touch God. Very peaceful and relaxing. I recommend going the the fall or spring, as it can get very hot in the summer

My boys and I visited the park today. They are 10 years olds and seven years old. We had a great time! The climb is tough but manageable. I carried a back-back with water and snacks and we made multiple stops along the way. Views were spectacular! We took the long trail back. That, too, is do-able. Best to come... More

Beautiful park with friendly volunteers and rangers. Climb the Rock for a spectacular view. There are also plenty of geocaches if you are into that.

On a hot and windy day the whole family can take a whack at climbing this monster rocktop mountain! Easy access, good parking and interesting geological surrounds make this an outing the kids and parents can share. The site is very clean and there are restrooms and a water station.

This park is great for both experienced and non-experienced hikers The views on the easier Loop Trail are beautiful. The Summit Trail is for serious climbers.

My husband and I are pretty active and hiking up Enchanted Rock was right up our alley. Getting up the trail was fun and the view was beautiful! There were thunderstorms a few miles away and we could see the way the rain moved over the land. We also climbed through the Enchanted Rock Caves - do not miss this... More

My son and I traveled together and hiked up the rock. We loved the view and the caves were fabulous. It was my 2nd time up there and his first. Be sure to take at least 2 bottles of water per person. We stopped 4 times on the ascent and once on the descent.

We drove to Enchanted Rock from Fredericksburg. The drive to the area was gorgeous. We took plenty of water (several bottles per person) as we were climbing late morning in August. We stopped at several points along the way to rest a bit in the shade and take pictures. Our trail of choice to ascend was the Summit Trail. We... More
