Make sure you take plenty of drinking water on your hike to the top. If you have small children return to the headquarters and you will get a Junior Rangers badge. The kiosk at the bottle of the trail head next to the restrooms takes credit cards. You can get all your drinks and snacks here. Wear comfortable shoes that... More

Arrived late in the evening to beautiful sites from the road, didn't have a chance to go in and climb. Looked like others were enjoying the view from the top. Well worth the drive.

Fantastic experience! We went with both our teen-aged kids and climbed to the summit to enjoy the most fabulous views of the Hill Country I'd seen in a LOOOONNNGG time (probably since the last time I was here 20+ years ago). It was a fantastic experience. Wish the trails were marked a little more clearly (we took the wrong trail... More

It's what you have to do if you are anywhere near here -- climb Enchanted Rock. We got there when the park opened at 8:30 am with our state park pass. ($7 per person without one.) It gets hit quick so we wanted to climb while it is cooler. I'm not in that great shape, but I do exercise regularly... More

We arrived soon after the park opened in order to take advantage of the relative cool. The walk up to the summit of the granite dome takes a fair bit of effort and there is no shade from the summer sun. The views from the top are well worth the effort!

What a fabulous view of the Hill Country from the top of Enchanted Rock!! We hiked up the trails and marveled at the views. Great photo opportunity. Great park area and not to be missed.

Our daughter took us to see Enchanted Rock: what a beautiful sight. We didn't arrive until mid-day, but I would definitely suggest morning, as it was quite hot at that time. Wear sturdy shoes, and if you are out of shape (as I am, unfortunately), plan to rest along the way: it is very steep in some spots. The view... More

A nice pair of shoes and comfortable wear and you are set to conquer the rock.. The path can be very steep at times...but the view from top is just amazing...

Took a day trip with the kids out to Enchanted Rock. Would definitely recommend an early morning visit on a hot Texas day. We arrived shortly after the park opened and were out by high noon. The staff were great and had us in and out in a jiffy to begin our climb. Although it may seem like not much... More

What a wonderful way to spend the day outside surrounded by natural beauty and family! Tickets in are $7 a person unless you have a state park pass. The park is beautiful and the hike up offers beautiful scenery :)! Enjoy!!
