The flight of the bats at Old Tunnel is an absolute must-see! Arrive 2 hrs early, park in lot at entrance, and walk down the gravel road to the restaurant. While waiting for dinner, send one person back to purchase tickets for the lower level seating. It's well worth the $5. Dress VERY casual and wear comfy shoes. Bring good... more

Well - WOW! I took 3 of my grandchildren - an 18 year old girl, and a boy 12 and girl 10. They loved it. I loved it. One really has to experience this in person to realize how exciting it is. We watched as a yellow hawk swooped down into the middle of the long cloud of bats and... more

Greetings from Iowa! My wife and just got back from a two week vacation to Texas. We were extremely dissapointed with the lack of specific information about the mass exodus of bats from under the Congress Avenue Bridge in Austin. I went with my son's scout troop to see the bats. Not being a "bat person", I was not too excited, but I was in for a surprise. When dusk approaches and the bats start coming out, it is just a fantastic thing to see, unlike anything else. I highly recommend it. It's great for wildlife lovers, families and groups. more
