The herd did a great job at the parade on 7th Street last weekend. All of the kids enjoyed the longhorns, cowboys and horses.
Step back in time .... Cowtown Style! Watch a real herd of Longhorns go through the same stockyards from a hundred years ago! There is plenty of photo ops & real cowboys to ask questions to as well. It's a family friendly activity!!
At the Stockyards in Fort Worth TX they have a real longhorn cattle drive twice a day. What fun for the kids. Real cowboys on horses move the herd from behind the coliseum, down the street and out to pasture. Bring 'em back in the afternoon. And they do have some tame ones the kiddos can sit on and have... Twice a day in the Ft. Worth Stockyards, a herd of Texas longhorns is guided through the streets of Fort Worth stockyard area. You can get great pictures of the herd, plus for a price you can get an up-close and personal picture. But the herd itself is free and well worth the trip.

Sure it's all for tourists but it is very well handled and greatly enriches the pleasant and... More
We made a special trip from dallas to cone to the sotckyards. The herd walk is a must. Our kids loved it! Be sure to follow them all the way to the end. They have a little platform where they keep the cattle and you get to know each one by name, and watch them for a while!
If you want to feel being in Texas and wild west, cowboys, boots and beer...this is the place. My first time seeing the long horns. The parade is short but sweet. We took lots of pictures and yes MOO is the word... The leading cowboy yells "come on herd" and about 20 of them follow him. Make sure you pay... More
The pictures show you exactly what it is, a smaller scale reenactment of what you would have seen daily 100 years ago. If you have young children this would be a must see. However even if you don't have children it's worth standing in the Texas sun for a few moments to witness. You can kind of picture what life... More
