Loved this unique and something I have never witnessed before. The cowboys and wranglers add to the event, which wasn't overcrowded either. Be 10 minutes or so early if you don't want to be in the sun.

We came to Dallas as Australians for 4 nights. Feeling as though Dallas was a bit devoid of personality we headed to the stockyard for some corny, Texan personality. And it was awesome. Cowboys, bulls and a show three times a day. I got exactly what I wanted as a tourist traveling on a flight for 15 hours. It's a... More

Long horns are linked to the image of Texas. However is not easy to find a place to see them live. If you are close to Fort Worth and have never seen this cattle before, by all means, go see the heard. Yes, it is small. Yes it lasts only 5 min, but it is free and you will have... More

It is good for those who have never seen this type of lifestyle. The "cowboys" are dressed the part, but it is slightly over rated coming from a real life rancher.

Not to sound cynical or anything but it is nothing but cowboys in costume walking down the street with the Cows. The excitement is the authentic costumes and the cracking of the whip. Our four year old granddaughter dressed up as a cowboy, had her picture taken on a huge steer, and loved the herding. You have to see it... More

If you are in the area it is worth seeing although not a lot of cattle still worth watching. We don't have anything like this in England.

Great fun! There was so much more than just the long horns... Stage coaches, wagons, cowboys! Everyone was friendly! The kids loved it!

This is something to see if you are already visiting the Stockyards. I would not recommend making a special trip to witness the herd. There were about 10 longhorns that walked down the street and then it was over. At least it's free! Immediately following the cattle drive, they had a gun fight skit.

My husband and I are native to the area but had never taken the time to stop by and see the herd stroll through the stockyards. On our honeymoon we made the decision to finally check it out. Although the herd is small and some might be disappointed it was still fun to watch and take pictures. It was a... More

This attraction is one of the most disappointing and ridiculous things I've seen. When we showed up on a Saturday afternoon there was hundreds of people crowded up to see the "herd". We took a spot, saw a couple of "cowboys" riding down the street and a few, maybe 5 or 6 longhorns. All was 3 minutes tops! I couldn't... More
