Getting ready to go to Burger's Lake next weekend. It's a very nice small lake. No you can't see to the bottom because it's a lake and not a swimming pool or your bathtub. The bottom isn't muddy though. Very cool water and shady banks. The building, swing, rafts, slides all are old but they are maintained and not run-down.... More

My friends and I (college freshmen) went for a day. It was definitely fun to jump off the diving board and other things like that until I noticed the disgusting film on top of the water. I guess it is from sunscreen but the water there is so gross if you really think about it. It smells and is very... More

I drove up there last year and was very disappointed. So many people I have to circle several times before I could even find a parking place. Water was not clear like I expected but very murky. I would say wading knee deep you could barely see the bottom. For the most part it looked old and run down. Like... More

My family and i usually go out to Burgers Lake twice a year. It is almost an hour and a half from home, but so worth the drive! We pack to stay for the whole day & usually arrive early to get a good spot. We snack all day, then grill something yummy for dinner! Sure its crowded, but well... More

We have spent many hot summer days there, celebrating kids birthdays and swimming in their cold spring fed private lake! More

This is a throw back to the last century when we went to a swimming hole instead of a water park. Great place to spend a hot summer day with the family. More

Since is is fed by a natural spring, the water is cold even when it is 101 degrees outside! Beautiful areas for picnics and family outings. A bit expensive but for an all-day affair it is great. They have a snack bar, but I would advise a cooler with drinks and food. Don't rent the huge innertube, you'll get tired... More

My husband & I (retirement age) love going to this lake. Safety is paramount for the owners. Parents are required to be with young children in the water. They allow plenty of fun in the water but no horsing around that could hurt someone or impose on others. Today we witnessed a life guard pull someone out after a 4... More

Good old fashion fun. Lots of big trees for some shade. The kids will love the high dive and the giant swing. More
