Hate to quibble with John, who enjoyed Stage West, but there is a major difference between community theater and professsional theater. Stage West is a professional theater. Yes, it is friendly, accessible, in the neighborhood, and so on. But for theater aficionados, the word "community" has a connotation that is not applicable here. Full disclosure: I am a community theater... More

We have been regular patrons of theater for four decades, experiencing the full range of production, from Broadway to small town. Saturday, June 27, 2015 we attended "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike." This theater gets a huge WOW from us! We have not stopped talking about Shannon McGrann's portrayal of Masha. This girl is simply amazing! We loved,... More

Stage West in Fort Worth, Texas, is another example of live local community theater in motion. I encourage visitors & local residents of the Fort Worth area to consider the live community theater as an alternative entertainment choice for an evening's pleasure; &, in this respect the talent & comfortable setting of Stage West make it a great choice. This isn't everybody's cup of tea. If you want mainstream easy to absorb theatre, this isn't for you. If you enjoy experimental, dynamic, boundary pushing, energetic and unfathomable experiences, you'll find all of these here. On the night I went, the 3 young actors completely lost me in a modern play about machines, connections and love. I loved it. The... More

Having lived in Los Angeles, I am spoiled with regard to local theater talent and my expectations. I just saw "Beyond Therapy" at Stage West in Fort Worth and enjoyed the experience overall. This is a nice theater experience with good seating in a small sized venue. The acting and directing was decent but not exceptional. I have seen this... More

I attended three plays. They were all of the dialog was loud with British accents. One play included a lot of door slamming with actors running in and out of scenes.

We were visiting Fort Worth. and discovered this little gem. If you like live theatre, seek it out. We saw a very good production of 4000 Miles and were sorry that they audience that night wasn't as responsive as they should have been to the quality of the acting. They have a little cafe where you can have a simple... More

Great place to watch a intimate production! A funky cozy location, that has been putting on great productions for over 25 years. There are no bad seats and reasonably priced.

This is a great little theatre with lots of great plays. If you are looking for something different to do try this place. We ate dinner before the show and the food was excellent. A great night out!

My husband and I saw "She Loves Me" last night - would go again in a heartbeat. We love live theater, but sometimes you leave just a little disappointed. This production, however, we give high marks in all areas. The actors were all believeable in their characters, great in drawing the audience in, and had wonderful singing voices! The timing,...
