We stopped in as driving by and spent hours. Great fun for folks of all ages, be sure to bring a camera and a few dollars for pictures with the animals.

The boys loved shooting lazer guns and seeing the cattle drive. The girls enjoyed shopping and local food.

My son and I were scheduled to do a dude ranch experience. Despite years of riding lessons we had a hard time finding a place that would let a 9 year old on a horse alone. The ranch we were scheduled at was totally under water from the flooding. I couldn't leave Texas without my son riding a horse in... More

I liked the convenience and availability of this attraction. They take riders on a first come-first served basis, and there is no set time that you have to be there to go out on the trail. You and all of the children in your party have to have the same last name. I don't see how the legal waivers would... More

We stayed at the Stockyards RV "Park". They really shouldn't be allowed to call that a Park. It's nothing more than one row of parking spaces with hook-ups. We drove past it for several times, because we didn't recognize is as an RV Park. It was right next to the railways and the loud honking trains kept us up all... More

This was a real interesting place in reading about its history and seeing the "Long Horn" Cattle that they parade thru the streets by Cowboys twice a day. Those Long Horn Cattle are big and interesting. The "Flea Market" is now a bargain center with a lot of restaurants and interesting shops.

We went during the week, so there wasn't much extra happening, but we had a great time. Lots of history, lots of shopping, and lots of good food.

Whenever you are in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area you should take the time to visit the "stockyards" as it is locally called. Long ago the "longhorn" cattle was brought by the long cattle drives of yesteryear along the Chisholm Trail. However, today, it is an historical landmark offering visitors an exciting opportunity to experience the Old West in an authentic... More

We arrived on a pleasant weather weekday in early February and there were no crowds to contend with. We immediately ate lunch and then roamed the great shops,I mean great), in the stockyard area before arriving at the area to see the long-horn drive. The cattle were all in their pens and we were able to see them before they... More
