The Stockyards "RV Park" is a joke. It is just a dusty lot near the horse pens. NO shade, NO picnic table, NO sewer, NO water, NO wi fi, NO restrooms, NO showers, etc. All this for $50 a day. The only plus is it is walking distance to the Stockyards. We picked up half a dozen beer cans near... More

Yes this destination is quite touristy but one that's worth a visit. The venue is quite large with lots to see and do, from shops, eateries and the rodeo that takes place on a weekend. We went to the rodeo on the Saturday evening where there was a good atmosphere ... the downside was that for the 2 hour show... More

Take time to go to this. It's like a little city with lots of shopping, human maze, eating and drinks within the walking area. There is a cattle drive with longhorns at 11:30 a.m. and 6 something in the evening. Fun to watch. I would love to go again when I have more time.

The feel wasnt an "old" western feel just a modern western street. There was lots of cowboy shops, expensive rodeo on any night, expensive maze, petting zoo (was closed) mechanical bull riding. Our favorite was the food options! The staff in the visitor center were super friendly & helpful. Cute senior couple. They gave us all sheriff badges. We missed... More

Had a great day here. There is something for everyone. Loved the stage coach rides and the cattle being herded down the main street which happens twice a day. Shopping is good with a variety of goods, plenty of places to eat and drink. There is a cowboy museum and so much more to see and do. Well worth a... More

We had a short time in Dallas/Ft Worth area and wanted to see a little bit of Texas. The Stockyards was a perfect spot. It is an old Texan town with streets paved in brick. You can walk by the stalls of longhorn cattle and watch the cattle drive through the streets twice a day. There are lots of restaurants... More

The place was packed and it felt like we stepped into the past with bull rides, horses and old trains. We loved it. I went to take photos with the costume one but the main one was a 4 hour wait so we found another one called " Uncle Charles". I have always wanted one but it was disappointing. His... More

We spent the afternoon at the stockyards. We ate lunch at The Trail Boss and watched the longhorn cattle drive. The kids paid 7.00 each and went through the cattle maze. It's old cattle pens turned into a maze. Next to the train station are all kinds of shops from a spice shop to an old record store. We really... More

I took my mother who wanted to see the daily cattle drive, and was not expecting anything other than cheesy touristy stuff. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a bit touristy, but not in a cheesy over the top way, but in the way anything like an old fashioned cowboy cattle drive and stockyard event might seem in this day... More

We stopped in as driving by and spent hours. Great fun for folks of all ages, be sure to bring a camera and a few dollars for pictures with the animals.
