We went to the Ft. Worth Stockyards so we could watch the Longhorn catlle drive. The area is great with all of the shops and restaurants. The cattle drive is amazing!! The longhorn cattle had HUGE horns! It was a great experience; I would definitely like to watch it again sometime.

The highlight (which occurs at 11 am and 4 pm) is the Longhorn Cattle Drive, but browsing the local shops is a treat as well. The longhorns are huge! Cowboys on horseback were very friendly and willing to take pictures with you and the horses. A fun time!

This one for sure give a feeling of how things were handled in the past. The entire area is full of so many good eateries and local souvenirs. I was completely taken back into the time and had memorable experience.

Great Cowboy town! Enjoyed the Cowboy Hall of Fame and the afternoon cattle drive! The longhorns were awesome ---longest horns I've ever seen! Enjoyed the western atmosphere and the parade.

Cool place to see some animals, even camel's. We go to the stockyards all the time and always take new friends here and walk around

Wife and I found Ft. Worth to be an excellent trip back in time! Went to our first rodeo, sat on a bull and visited the stables. Never realized how much I enjoyed the history of the American West and where it begins, in Ft. Worth! Stables are really cool with ample opportunities for photos. Don't forget to check out... More

For a "stockyard" and being a Nebraska farm kid I've seen a few this is NOT your typical stockyard. You'll see some of the old pens but most are now shops and a few restraurants in here. A nice day trip when visiting the metroplex and since most is free you can't go wrong looking a look arund and then... More

A lot of people come to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area expecting people to still be riding horses and wearing spurs to work. Many leave surprised that it's a thriving, modern, metropolis. So when I had family come in wanting a more "authentic" cowboy vision of DFW, we went to the Ft. Worth Stockyards. The Stockyards are best experienced during large... More
