While in Fort Worth I visited the Log Cabin Village. I generally visit historical homes /buildings in any city that I happen to be in, and this is one of the best preserved collections I have come across. In all there are 11 buildings to see. The buildings are mapped out along a tree lined path which is very easy... More

We are so happy we visited Log Cabin Village with our two small children. Lots to see and participate in here. We were given a warm welcome at each cabin we visited with an oral history and sometimes live demonstrations. There were hands on activities for children in some of the cabins. Everyone here was very friendly, they knew their... More

We have been several times to visit the log cabin village in Fort Worth. It doesnt cost much to get in. It gets better each year! It is very entertaining and interesting for all ages. The only negative I can think of is that the bathroom facilities are actually port-a-potties. Pack a picnic and blanket to eat under the large... More

Thanks so much for being a repeat visitor! We love to hear that people enjoy returning. We are constantly trying to improve the visitor experience. I am pleased to report that plans are in the works to connect us to the City's sewer system! Next step after that....real restrooms!! Thanks for patience as we work that out. Come visit again... I remember going here as a child. It was interesting for a kid back then. I recently took my grand kids and they loved it. It is in the park area across from the Zoo. You can make it a part of your visit to the zoo and wear the kids out completely. Another nice thing about it, it is... More

Enjoyed the pioneer village. It is very similar to one's that we have visited in other states, but the history of the Fort Worth area came to life. Affordable admission.$5/adult.

Been driving by it for years and finally stop and visited. Very cool to walk around and see the history. The lady at the candle station was very sweet and talked with us for a while.

I learned so much with my family on our trip. The people who tell you about the places you go are professional and really know what they are talking about. I had a lot of fun on this trip!

I don't know if I was just expecting too much when I went, but it really wasn't that exciting. Luckily we went when we didn't have to pay an entrance fee. It was fine for something free, but I wouldn't pay admission to go here.

What a great place to learn about local pioneer families and pioneer life in general. Several real log cabins have been moved in here from local counties and furnished with period pieces. Signs tell who lived in each, describes the style of cabins, how many children lived there, among other things. There are times when pioneer crafts are demonstrated: blacksmithing,... More
