We took my neice and her friend who were visiting from France. The bar stool are saddles and it is real "cowboy." We didn't realize it would be so crowded on a Friday night and we had no chance for a table so the girls could "experience" the flavor of the place as they sipped Dr. Pepper's. A wonderful man (cowboy) came over to us and asked if there was a problem. I explained that we had my neice from France visiting and we had wanted to sit and have a soda before the Ft. Worth rodeo that is held every weekend in the stockyards. He said to wait a minute. He then took us to a table that he and his wife were sitting at and asked us to take the table and enjoy our soda. True Texas hospitality. Worth a trip definately.

A great spot for a drink after watching the morning ‘Cattle Drive’. The decor inside is Western themed, with saddle bar seats and plenty of eye catching memorabilia. There is no drinks menu here and watch out for the sting if you order wine!

While travelling in Dallas we received several recommendations on Steak Houses and heard from locals about Booger Reds. We made the Lyft ride all the way to Fort Worth ($35) to see for ourselves. We had a lot of great meals on the trip, but this was the best meal and experience we had.

Our server, Russell, was timely, efficient and polite. He knew the surrounding area inside and out and referred us to places to shop and listen to live music.

I like my steak medium well, which is sometimes a challenge. Not here. I chose the Strip Steak and it was perfect. I couldn't believe it was so tender. An added surprise was the best baked potato I have ever eaten. Not sure what the seasoning was - but I ate every inch, skin and all.

The actual venue is a must see. Saddles for bar stools and other unique enhancements really make this place special. My only regret is that we didn't spend the last night at the adjoining hotel. We had such a good time in the Stock Yard section we hated to call Lyft to come and get us.

This bar was so wonderful we made a pretty big detour on our road trip home to visit it again. On both occasions we were lucky enough to find seats at the bar, and when I say seats I mean sitting on an authentic western saddle which is so comfortable and you really are riding high by the time you leave. The Margaritas are excellent and so huge (albeit with rather thick heavy glasses) it's almost impossible to lift them when full. We wished we'd had time to eat as the restaurant looked fantastic with a huge fire pit, the flames were pretty spectacular. We met such interesting locals who even bought us a drink, they were so friendly as has everyone been on our Texan road trip. They said the food was good, and raved about the gaucomole which is made fresh at your table (how I wish we could go back yet again but sadly time is running out for this trip). If you like all things western you should go to the Stock Yards and not miss this place. Pop across the road to Leddys, buy yourself a pair of boots then come back to sit on those saddles.

Just been to the 'Booger Red's Saloon' today for a few beers. Read about this bar on TripAdvisor and had to visit it. The bar itself is styled in the way of an old Texan Saloon and every other stool at the bar are saddles... very unusual! We ended up drinking a local Texan beer called 'Buffalo Butt' which wasn't all that bad. There was also a large buffalo butt sticking out of the glass behind the bar counter! Great place to visit, highly recommend.

This place is a hoot! The bar is called Buffalo Butt, and a Buffalo rear end sticks out of the wall! They did have great beers and Margaritas, along with a nice staff to take care of you. They did also have really nice clean bathrooms. The place had an intoxicating hickory smell, so I bet the food is great here.

Although its not too busy during the week, the weekend is packed with tourists! You wont be the drink prices that you'll find at the Stockyards too!
