The museum started from a collection of Western American art, so it is strongest in F. Remington and Charles Russell, with many paintings and sculptures. This museum was such a pleasant discovery for us. From what I had been told, it is known for its western art ollection. What amazed me was their collection of American photography. Wow! This collection of art and sculpture by Charles Russell and Frederic Remington is very extensive, with excellent information alongside each to narrate the stories depicted.
