I really love the Stockyards Rodeo. Great show. We ended up getting to the rodeo late because the restaurant we ate in had very slow service. So the only seats they had for a group of 6 was right behind the chutes. Well, the rodeo has decided to put large advertising signs behind the gates so we basically could not... More

Took a friend to her very first rodeo at the Stockyards Rodeo. We had great seats (there isn't a bad seat in the place) and she loved it. I have to admit, being raised going to rodeos, I learned quite a few historical facts about the Stockyards Rodeo and rodeo in general. Granted, the Cowboys were not "professional" but they... More

We were really looking forward to our first Rodeo. The guy told us doors opened at 6 30 for the show to start at 8pm he advised us to be seated before 7 30pm. After a long wait at Riscky's it was just a few minutes to 8 before we arrived but it was time enough as there were loads... More

Fun evening watching "less than professional" cowboys and cowgirls compete. Historical venue offers premium leather ringside seats that are well worth the price Fun for kids under 12 who get to participate

There is not a bad seat in the house everyone gets the thrill of the bull ride and the acts of the cowboy with his rope and cattle.Lots of great food to taste and drink too. Bring the whole family and enjoy a night of fun. Price wise $$ for a good time.

Interesting evening with amateur rodeo competitors--very enthusiastic! The atmosphere inside the rodeo and outside in the stockyards was a perfect way to treat visitors to what they think Texas is all about.

A great place to bring the entire family. General admission is seating on a first come first served basis. We bought VIP seats which were slightly more money and we could see the entire arena. Our seats were high bar stools which were cushioned and we had a table top bar in front of us where we could sit out... More

Okay so I'm not judging the Texan culture because I know they've been doing this for a long time but to outsiders it's quite confronting and really does appear like animal cruelty.

Spent the afternoon at the Stockyards watching long horn run (which was a walk really) and waiting for the rodeo. Glad we bought general tickets as 'boxes' were small and no better viewing in my opinion. It was smaller than I anticipated and was indoor - somehow thought it would be outside. Good entertainment for first timers but it did... More

Brilliant night out for all ages. Inexpensive to attend and they make everyone feel welcome. Proffesional rodeo riders and great events for the kids as well
