This is an interesting slice of Texas culture, but there's a reason rodeo is a niche sport. If you are rooting for the animals it's great, because they generally win. It's a good way to finish the evening at the Stockyards. Tip - Check out the hall of fame under the stands - there are two fabulous Remington sculptures there.

This is a great introduction for first timer like me. You will get a taste of everything, bull riders, horses with cowboys trying to catch " baby bull". Horse rider doing flip flop, and more. Will go back.

Been to many rodeo's. This was well worth your time and $. Good for families or couples. Great drinks and a lot of action. After there was a band playing out front dancing and a good time. Please put this on your bucket list.

First time to see a 'Rodeo' and this was the real McCoy! Great fun, excitement and thrills. I just don't know how some of these guys do it! If you want to savour a bit of typical Texas, this has got to be the place. Overall, well worth the visit and experience.

We visited the Fort Worth Stockyards on a Saturday evening in December 2014. After a nice dinner at Riscky’s Steakhouse we walked across the road to the indoor Cowtown Coliseum for the 8pm rodeo. The cowboys rode bucking bulls and horses trying to stay on for 8 seconds. Then men and women riding horses trying to lasso calves in the... More

Awesome way to spend 2 hours on a Friday nite, great family fun !l Loved the Patriotic way they began the evening, with the carrying of the Flag on Horseback. The announcer had great commentaries on the events of the evening. He kept the audience completely interested in the different activities. Our first time to a real live rodeo and... More

An Easterner goes to visit Ft Worth and the locals have to take him to the rodeo. We don't see much bull riding and cattle roping in New York, so I enjoyed it. But the performances on the night I went seemed less than top notch.

Stockyards rodeo is part of the larger stockyards station. This is a professional rodeo, with competitors travelling for miles. This is not a 'show' rodeo, with stunts put on for the audience. Lots of calf-roping, barrel racing, bronco and bull riding. My two teenage daughters loved it, especially the bull riding! They also get the little kids into the arena... More

If you want to try a rodeo and not spend a lot of money this is the place to go. We took our small granddaughters for their first rodeo and they loved it. Really feels like Texas and not just a rodeo. I believe it is the oldest indoor rodeo in the US. Small but does the job. No reservations... More
