My kiddo and I regularly visit. Even in hot weather it is very shaded and beautifully landscaped. Even on high traffic days, the crowds are really spread out so it is never a problem. Our favorites are the meerkats and the silver backed Gorilla we call Big Daddy. Also, they have a great bird area where hundreds of birds fly... more

Parking is terrible, the layout is not family, stroller, or handicapped friendly. There are lots of steps with no ramp option. On a busy day you may be forced to park a mile away and there is no shuttle. It is an uphill walk to the park from parking. Water is 2.25 a bottle. Restaurant, restrooms, the little train, & merry... more

Took my family of 5 on a Monday afternoon. Huge crowd, though we were told by an official that it was actually a "light day". Most of the zoo is laid out in a straight line, so half the crowd is always trying to go against the other half as they return to the entrance/exit. Very difficult to see any... more

We have taken our family to many, many zoos across our country and have never enjoyed one as much as the Fort Worth Zoo. Stunning design with each exhibit thoughtfully and beautifully designed. The day we visited the animals were active and exciting to watch. To be honest, I thought my 17, 15, and 10 yr. old children would be... more

The Fort Worth Zoo is a must-see for zoo-loving families. Don't miss the white tiger (we were lucky; kitty paced for about 15 minutes up against a Plexiglass wall, affording us literal whisker-to-face time), the bird area and the African experience. Beautiful animal environments. Very clean, well kept facility. The only less-than-pleasant area was the penguin building, which smelled very,... more

My wife and I went on vacation to Fortworth last week nice city lots to do and the zoo was nice. Parking was not so hot, we asked a security person for help getting out of the parking lot he pointed us in the wrong direction and then he got mad when we went in that direction. Other than that... more

I would like to start this review by stating I LOVE ZOOS! When we moved to Ft. Worth two years ago I was excited to find a zoo very close to us. Ive been to this zoo two times. Some exhibits were good others left me concerned. I didnt like the small spaces for the animals. The exhibits were very... more

The zoo itself is great. The animals are amazing and easy to see. However, our last visit there we noticed some problems with cleanliness. We went on a Monday and it was not busy at all. The exhibit glass was really sticky and smudgy. It was kinda gross in some places. Keep in mind that we went when they first... more

The Ft. Worth Zoo is fantastic-no doubt about it! We arrived about an hour before they opened-they should really consider opening at 9:00 in the summer. There were lots of good shady places to wait for the park to open though so it wasn't too bad. We walked in to immediately see gorillas, chimpanzees and more-no searching for the big... more
