Traveling the country, I always try to make the zoo scene and the Botanical Gardens, todays trip to the Fort Worth Zoo was an amazing experience (the only thing missing was my granddaughter). All the zoo employees I encountered were so helpful and friendly. The $12 admission was definitely worth it. There was a lot of walking (which I love... More

This is the place to bring the family on a nice day! The price was amazing, the animals were amazing! The only thing that was NOT amazing was the $3.00/water bottle, I really thought i was a a zoo like Toronto, Canada it was small, but i did not seem small it was huge and amazing. i will definitely go... We took relatives from England who were impressed. The price for tickets is reasonable but they really get you on the parking. The weather cooperated as it can during Texas winters and it was a most pleasant day. We tend to avoid going during the heat of Summer. You can easily spend an entire day there because there is so... The Fort Worth Zoo is Nationally Recognized for the quality and diversity but the rankings really don't capture the "home town" components that it also offers. Something we learned through a friends recommendation was to actually join the zoo. The single biggest benefit was the awareness it created of all the great activities going on (most of which we simply... More

We took grandkids to the zoo. They had a blast. We saw many different animals including the baby elephants. They got to see ocean life up close and could touch and feel them. The one thing that we would like to see different would be the train. There is not an option to ride "round trip". We had to get off... More

This zoo is great! It's not too big but not too small. I love how close you feel to the animals. It's such a great place for a family and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The monkey exhibit, rhinos and crocodile were my fave! And the staff is super nice.

Went with our three grandsons on a rather WARM Texas day! The Zoo is very well shaded, has misters, and is laid out beautifully! The settings for the animals are beautiful, and the animals we saw were a great variety! The two baby elephants were precious. We see quite a few bald eagles on the lake where we live, but... More

Good Zoo, thought it was a lot of walking up hill and down hill. I think it was an average zoo, nothing to bad to say about it.

The great thing about the Fort Worth Zoo is that it is always striving to give the visitor the best experience. The zoo embraces it's Texas culture and tries to educate you on what makes Texas great. Very clean and very well layer out for easy walking. Great events there and located in the best spot in Fort Worth. A... More

This is a large zoo so have some good walking shoes! The settings for the animals are way above the norm for most zoos. Plenty of shade available along the walks with many misting areas available. The day was pretty hot so most of the animals were napping but our three granddaughters enjoyed themselves.
