This zoo has really grown since i have been attending it since the 1960'S. I have a season pass this year and every visit with my grandchildren has been exciting. I give it only 4 stars because it can be costly with a parking fee and ticket price but if that does not strain your budget it is worth the... More

This zoo is definitely better than the dallas zoo. The dallas aquarium is awesome but don't count on the zoo. It is up to date and and has plenty of exhibits and animals to see. We spent half a day here enjoying it. Plenty of sots to get snacks from and also has many restaurants within the zoo to choose... More

Of the many things to see and do in DFW, this zoo should be in your top 10. The staff is helpful and friendly. The exhibits are well done. There is enough shade to allow for even a summer visit. We will definitely return this fall and see what we missed this time. The price, 12 dollars for adults, and... More

I remember this zoo when I was just a young kid; and how year after year they would be "working" on different parts... Now that I'm older, I realize all of that work and construction of my youth was planning for the future. What a wonderful zoo experience! I have been there countless times throughout the years, and it never... More

I've been with my family twice to this zoo and it has been great each time. The staff is great, animal exhibits are well done, and they left plenty of shade which makes the Texas heat tolerable.

The Fort Worth Zoo is a local favorite, and one of the best zoo's you'll find in the U.S. The environment is well laid out with lots of diverse wildlife for visitors to see, and you can tell from the employees that the animals are all well cared for. They love their jobs to keep such a great zoo going.... More

Be ready to walk and climb to see the animals. There are a lot of inclines to go up and down. Also avoid on really hot days as there is a lot of bamboo which blocks the air flow. They do have mister spread out and about but it can get very hot.

I have 4 kids, so zoos are a pretty standard place to visit. We have been to more renowned zoos, bigger zoos, smaller zoos. But I would rank Fort Worth at or near the top of the list. The layout definitely takes the Texas heat into account. There was plenty of shade and cooling stations with fans and misters. There... More

Numerous varieties, be prepared to take extra money for overpriced food and drinks though, having said that very good experience overall

This is was on the best zoo's I've ever been to. Well laid out, very clean and lots of animals. My favorite animals are monkeys. They have a very nice primate area. It's very affordable. Plenty to do so it even with a full parking lot, it doesn't feel crowded.
