We recently got our Zoo season pass. Great attractions, especially the MOLA (Museum of Living Art which features aquatic animals like fish, amphibians, as well as snakes, turtles, etc.) The Texas portion of the park is well done, with a neat wildlife video/presentation, and lots of Tx specific portions about animals here (alligators, to bugs, to everything in between). The...

This is one of the significant highlights of DFW....Certainly a large and well maintained zoo/ wild life center in my opinion. Their price, now you pay for what you see. An amazing collection of species from the world.....Some of their reptiles and insects are very well maintained in their natural condition.
they also have a wide range of volunteer opportunities,...

If you have a lot of $ to spend, it's worth it. It IS an amazing zoo, but is usually VERY crowded . The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I would NOT go after the end of May or before September since the heat is stifling and the animals don't move in the heat. The special classes the zoo offers...

I have been to quite a few major city's zoos and this is by far the best, even better than the National Zoo in DC, I just wish we had Pandas!
The Texas section is great, especially for those from out-of-state!
Just know that they charge and it isn't cheap.

The way back to the parking lot can be walked in one straight line over the "main road"...

Most of the exhibits are okay but it is nothing to write home about. Probably the best exhibit in this zoo is the MOLA with its various water features and well-appointed enclosures. The elephant exhibit, however, is severely lacking in size and features, especially compared to the Dallas Zoo. Another good thing about this zoo is that it has a...

For those of us on the Dallas side of the Metroplex, it's hard to sometimes justify driving all the way to Fort Worth for the zoo....but a recent visit reconfirmed how great it is.
It's a guaranteed 3-4 hours of entertainment for the kids, with a convenient layout, and lots of places to stop and sit when little legs get...
