If you can only go to one zoo in the area, then I would select this one. It's large, a lot of natural area's for animals, an Old West area with cute stores, a train that takes you around the area for a fee. There's also places to eat & snack area's through out the area (not cheap). They have... More

Locals and tourists love this zoo. It's nationally known for it's amazing layout and natural habitats. Be carfeul, on a nice day you'll wait for hours to park and get in - IT'S THAT GOOD.

This is a great way to spend a day. It is half price tickets on Wednesdays. Walk through aviary is awesome as well. Make sure to check out the elephants born last year!

It will take you a half a day to see this zoo. I recommend you come when it opens. Anytime after noontime traffic and parking is horrible. The zoo is very large, bring strollers if you have children. There is quite a bit of shade which is helpfull here in Texas. The zoo has been rated in the top 3... More

Ft Worth has a great zoo. I've been several times over the past decade and everything about the zoo is good family fun.

Just minutes from downtown, the Fort Worth Zoo has been rated as one of the top zoos in the country. Fort Worth is constantly working to make sure that attractions are well maintained and that the animals are housed in nice areas. This zoo is a must see attraction.

I don't go often, but when I go, I am always reminded of how pleasant this zoo is. My grandchildren always enjoy it.

A large number of species grouped well. Many extra attractions (shops, petting zoo) in Texas section. Very busy the day we were there. Some of the animals seemed unhappy with their enclosures or the noise level. Reptile section was extremely well done
