The Ft. Worth Zoo remains a great attraction for families, couples, a cool date or grandparents with or without grandchildren. Very walkable, the zoo has a great primate exhibit, large animal exhibit and Raptor Canyon, where you can see some amazingly large birds. The lion pride is located exactly opposite of the Zebra and a type of african antelope, which... More

By far, this is our favorite zoo in the DFW area. We live MUCH closer to the Dallas zoo. But, prefer this one. We will make the extra drive to come here. Nicely laid out, with several meal and snack shop options. Never disappoints us!

I love that this zoo provides both large and smaller exhibits to allow fuller access to seeing the animals. They have large exhibits that you can walk around and even over to get a better view. I also love the special events at various times including the Christmas season and Mother's Day brunch. Excellent job of introducing children to conservation... More

This is a great zoo! It has many great displays to offer and allot of animal varieties to enjoy. It is very well laid out, easy to navigate, and has very few hills. You can enjoy lots of stops yet the overall feel is still intimate and enjoyable. One suggestion, go early to avoid the crowds, the afternoon heat, and... More

Great fun for the whole family. The exhibits are well maintained and so are the animals. Recommend it if you have the time.

This zoo offers a very different experience from the Dallas Zoo and in some ways, more things for very young children. We especially like the Texas Wild part of the zoo, but the Museum of Living Art and Australian Outback have lots to see as well. If you live in Dallas, make the trip and see what this zoo has... We had about 4 hours to kill before our flight back to Australia so we decided to visit the Fort Worth Zoo. Because the weather was cool, there were barely any other visitors there. But the zoo has a lot to offer. I've been to many zoos around the world and this one has one of the best indoor outdoor... More
