We went to the Fort Worth Zoo on a Saturday afternoon. The Zoo is well laid out - lots of interesting exhibits - Primates, Reptiles and Amphibians, Birds, Texas animals and big animals - Rhino's and Elephants to name a few. The area called Texas Town has an entire "old west" style town as it might have looked at the... More

The sort of zoo which gives animal activists reasons to have them banned. Bored animal with little enrichment in their environments Seen more lively animatronics at Disney.

Interesting Zoo but a bit difficult to navigate. The entrance charge was quite reasonable. We visited in January and the place was not crowded which was a bonus

Well organized layout and tons of gorgeous, active animals! I went solo on a humid Texas day and there were plenty of cooling stations with misters all over the zoo. The animal habitats looked clean, well cared for, and not too cramped, so there seemed to be plenty of room for the animals in each exhibit. Food/drinks were priced about... More

Lots of nice walking trails and the animals were cooperating, as the weather was not too warm the day we went. The lion roared. Enough things to do and see to make the trip worthwhile.

I was so disappointed to find that this zoo appears fairly run down. All of the animals are on dry dirt. We saw one sleeping lion, one lioness (in separate, fairly small enclosures). I think there was only one sea otter, two small sharks...my toddler left every exhibit asking for 'more'. It could not have been a more beautiful day.... More

Traveled with the family on a nice January day, and found the zoo to be a fairly priced attraction that the whole family will enjoy. The layout isn't confusing and offers quite abit to do. The only negatives are you have to pay for parking and I would not visit on a hot day.

Shortly after moving to Fort Worth, TX from Florida, my family and I visited the Fort Worth Zoo. I was pleased from the start. I have had annual passes to Disney, Universal, Sea World, and Busch Gardens, and found the Fort Worth Zoo to be in lines with the same standards. The park has been clean and grounds kept beautiful... I love the zoo. The Ft Worth zoo is one of my favorites. Always clean and the animal diversity is extensive. Schedule around 1/2 price Wednesdays in the summer - super crowded and not enough parking. Our family always has fun there!

Average zoo with many food outlets shut, although as its in the winter season I guess it's sort of half shut down.
