It was very hot. But my granddaughter enjoyed it very much. I think you need at least three hours. We only had under three hours and since she was little took longer so we couldn't see everything. IF we had played it the water park part we would have needed another hour. The misters were great. Probably would have tired... More

What a pleasant surprise! After reading some reviews saying the Zoo is small I'm glad it didn't influence my decision for taking my kids to it. It was large ,well shaded with equipped with occasional cooling mists. The animal exhibits were well maintained. The food choices were not so great so I suggest eating somewhere else. On the grounds, there... More

Was planning on just a couple of hours but turned out to be an all day event. We looked up and it was well into the afternoon. Absolutely enjoyed our visit.

Our family decided on a visit to the Fort Worth Zoo (in JULY). We did have an early start (it opens at 10AM) but it was tremendously hot within and hour! There are shaded areas, but the are also many exhibits in the long, relatively linear zoo that are beside blazing hot concrete (or asphalt) pathways . The Zoo did... More

When family comes to visit one of the first things they want to do is go to the Fort Worth Zoo. There are 7000 animals there and they are displayed beautifully. Not in dirty, small caged areas but beautiful settings that let you see them in a more natural habitat. The kiddo's will love going into the parakeet pen and... More

We went as a group for work. We went on Wednesday, and appreciated the lower rate. It was BUSY. Lots of kids, camps, etc. but is to be expected during the summer. Overall, had a good time. I'm not a fan of how the zoo is laid out, it doesn't seem like all areas are quite organized, but it worked.... More

The zoo has lots of exhibits which are very well kept. The zoo does have some of the typical animals you might see, though it seems to be missing some. The layout of the zoo is what really gets me. It is really long and narrow. There isn't a flow to the exhibits. It is a good zoo, but not... More

This zoo has done alot of remodeling since I was last here very beautiful exhibits, nice eating areas and great shade for the kids. But a major downside is my son and husband wanted icees and every single machine in the entire park was broken at the same time. Besides the decent looking areas for the animals they are very... I was dreading going to the zoo in July in Texas...but this zoo is so well shaded that the heat was not as much a factor as I thought it would be. Spent 6 hours here taking our time exploring all the zoo has to offer. This is a great zoo to visit.
