....because they have some goofy system that you must choose your seats before even walking into the theater. Look, one reason my wife and I like to go to afternoon movies is so we can sit where we aren't sandwiched in between strangers. Spread out. Cross your legs. Put your coat and purse on the seat next to you. Avoid... More

After attending many movies at Magnolia Theatre I can say that it's one of my favorite places to catch a film. Usually, at the start of the film an employee dictates his welcome to The Magnolia and notifies the crowd of any upcoming events at the theatre which is always refreshing. Seats are comfortable and you can choose which seats... More

Favorite theater in Dallas to see a movie. If you want to see a movie in a more adult environment this is your place - alcohol is available and few children. Plus, movies showing are not those typically shown at the big mega cinemas so a nice diverse selection. You can reserve your seat, enjoy a comfy chair in a... More

Love this movie theater which has good matinee and student specials. Parking can be difficult as it is located in the very busy West Village, but worth the trip! If you are looking for the harder to find independent films and documentaries this is your place:) Rarely do I see kids in this movie theatre which is nice when you... More

This is my favorite theater. The seats are very comfortable and the popcorn is high quality and fresh. My husband likes that we can come early, pick out our seats, go have a meal at a nearby restaurant and return to the theater just before the movie starts. There is a full bar - so you can take your favorite... More

My husband and I found ourselves in the Dallas, Texas area with a few hours to kill and decided to see a movie. Unfortunately, the one we wanted to see was an independent film and was showing only at this theater. It's nestled in the downtown area of Dallas in the West Village shopping Center surrounded by plentiful designer shops... More

One of our regular spots but Now with reserved seats. This delays the ticket process with no improvement in outcome. Stood longer in line while people pick their seats and people who've pre-ordered seats have to find their ticket order. I don't get it yet. But maybe I'm slow.

Great theater where you can reserve seats and their location. Comfy leather chairs and good sized screen and sound. Didn't like the guy behind me who kept kicking the back of my chair till I told him to stop. Will go again if the movie I want to see is playing.

We used to go to this theater all the time. But now you have to reserve your seat you want in advance. We always like to get to a theater early so we can choose seats we like, but now you have to pick it before you get in the theater. We went to a movie that was quite full... More

The Magnolia is an excellent Art/Indie/Foreign Film Movie House and I would rate it higher if it weren't for its terrible lack of parking. It is located in one of those residential, retail, mixed use developments with very limited angled in parking street level in front of the business and limited inside garage parking around the corner, but with no...
