The Magnolia is an excellent Art/Indie/Foreign Film Movie House and I would rate it higher if it weren't for its terrible lack of parking. It is located in one of those residential, retail, mixed use developments with very limited angled in parking street level in front of the business and limited inside garage parking around the corner, but with no... As someone who lives in Uptown I love the fact that I can walk to this movie theater. Even better, I can have a few drinks before and after the movie and not have to worry about getting home. As far as movie theaters go this one seems particularly clean. It doesn't play all the standard movies that are in... More

Has the best new movies that are not at the Mall theaters. We love going to the West Village where the Magnolia is located. Lots of action, fun stores and restaurants.

This is a great theatre in a nice neighborhood. If you want dinner and or a drink and an artsy movie this is your place. There is a great wine bar next door if you'd like to try a flight of whites or reds before the movie. Mexican and Italian food abounds in this area.

I really love the location of this theatre. The seats aren't the most comfortable, but the little shopping/entertainment area is great. I have been here 3 times in the last few months for matinees, and I like it every time. Prices are about average for a movie and they have a good little diner-ish area there, too. I usually eat... This theater usually shows independant films (that i dont get into) but when they do show a mainstream release I love to visit...The theater is very nice, clean and mostly a 30+ age crowd so if your wanting to avoid the middle/high school kids go to this theater. Has a full bar inside the theater and over a dozen restaurants... More

Ever want to see a flick that you'd never think you'd see, if you had even heard about it? The nicest thing about the place is that they show some offbeat films and virtually all of them are excellent. Combine that with the other things that Mockingbird Station has to offer and the result is a great evening you'll be... More

The theater offers reserve seats. We went to an afternoon Sunday matinee. We ordered drinks and food. The food/drink selection is average, nothing exceptional. The seats are comfortable, but we were expecting more room between rows. The service was excellent and very friendly. This is a very nice theater to see a movie, but not as fantastic as advertised.

Parking can be difficult, but worth it...you can have wine while you are waiting on the movie. Taco Diner can be fun for lunch also.

It's a small theatre and sometimes shows independent films. I like the fact that it's near Paciugo, an ice cream store, and many other dining places as well as stores.
