If you are going expecting to be awed, don't get your hopes up. While the area is pretty and there have been updates, the actual content leave a lot to be desired. There is not much in the dinosaur section, but there are a lot of stuffed coyotes. All in all, the museum is outdated. I would suggest the Houston... more

Be sure to bring your kiddos here! From the Omni movies, to hands-on activities for kids at every age, this is not a place to be overlooked, located within Fair Park. Your kids can "dig" for dinosaur bones, learn about the weather with hands-on activities, and even push a button to launch and see how hot air balloon works on... more

This website needs to be updated. The Science Place merged with the Dallas Museum of Natural History in early 2006, becoming the Museum of Nature and Science. Two main buildings, plus the Planetarium building, are included in the price of an exhibit ticket. Many of the exhibits in the Science building have been renovated, updated, or changed. My husband and son whom is 2 1/2 just returned to day from Dallas. We had never been to the Science Place. It was interesting, I think it has a couple of things for adults, nothing big. But, it does have lots of stuff for children, the last floor has a childrens area with all kinds of stuff for them... more
