I haven't seen a theater like this since I was a kid. The vintage look and feel are complimented by the lounge style seating-- fluffy pillows, sofas and leg rests to relax on while watching the movie. This was a real treat. You can imagine my amusement when I asked the young man at the ticket counter if we were... More

This place is amazingly retro I love that it's the original architecture with updated accents They make a mean martini and have a fantastic happy hour..$5 wine or select martis/$2 domestics and $3 imports! This time I got wine to keep me out of trouble.. Bartender is super friendly It gets busy right before a movie showing but tonight it's... More

My husband and I really liked the older feel and look of this theater. We were expecting uncomfortable seats, due to it keeping its older feel, but they were beyond comfy and new! It only has 3 theaters, 2 on the upper level and 1 in the lower lever. We could hear a little of the 2nd theater sound, but... More

Went to see Entourage on Saturday, June 6. There was a sign that said the air was not working in the theater that was showing another movie, not Entourage. First, the line to get the tickets is the same line to get snacks. Stood in line to get tickets, went to ladies room, stood in the same line to get... More

This place will spoil you, you'll never be able to go to another movie theater without wishing you were here. My sister and I go every time she's in town and it's always as impressive as the first time. For starters they serve alcohol, so you can drink wine while you watch a movie. But what's even better, are the... More

The theater is scaled to fit in a neighborhood, which is inviting in itself. The building itself is gorgeous. The glasswork alone is worth a visit. The attached lounge is the best place in town for a martini. And if you are staying for a movie afterward, see whatever is showing in the main theater downstairs. Relax into one of... More

I have been going to the Inwood since the 1970s for the Art Deco. They have made upgrades over the years, but this is the best. Auditorium 1 has love seats, large armchairs, and chaises for your viewing comfort. I saw "Boyhood", a very lengthy film, and can't imagine enjoying sitting that long in any other theater.

It's a very old movie theater but cool. They have removed all the traditional seating and replaced with sofa's. One oversized sofa after another some with ottomans. There are some oversided chairs as well. Very cool way to see a movie. You can buy traditional snacks and bottles of wine.

The Inwood Theatre has had a big renovation since I was there five years ago. You can enjoy a feature film while lounging on a two-person sofa bed. Wow what a treat. We saw Mocking Jay 1. Really fun experience.

Just spent $50 for a family movie night to see 'million dollar arm' only to spend the entire movie being shaken by the noise of Godzilla. The manager told me, well it is an old building. So, don't play Godzilla next to another movie. Completely ruined the movie for us and was a huge waste of our money. Terrible experience.
