It was fun to climb in & through the trains. We also got to tour the engine room in an Amtrak train that was visiting the State Fair. More

If your kids love Thomas and for those who don't. American RR museum is a very well maintained yard. Being able to climb aboard and look around is a highlight even for adults. More

The locomotives are fascinating. My son really loved being able to tour the museum and see such massive engines up close. More

This museum is situated in Fair Park and is a bit off the beaten path. It is worth taking a hour or so to explore the old trains if you have little ones or a train lover in your group. We live in the area but have decided to play tourist to our home town over the past couple of... More
