We had son's rehearsal dinner there. Fabulous view of skyline and White Rock Lake, fairly affordable. Biggest pleasant surprise was the Vicki, the AWESOME Parks Dept. employee who helped us. She was wonderful!

The obvious attractions are the spillway and the birds, lots of birds. And the walk along the trail is really nice, too. But look for an opening into the woods and go for it: inside three minutes you won't believe you're in a city.
I don't know what the previous function of this area was, but there is a grid-like...
