Welcome to Highland Park. HP Village houses the pretentious brands that only hip hop moguls are able to afford. It is great. My favorite place, however, is the 3rd floor bar at Mi Cocina. This might be the best bar in Dallas. Small, up in the trees. Order a Mambo Taxi and people watch. More

A theater, several restaurants, haute couture, best shoe repair place in Dallas, a good food store, etc. Park your car and just walk around in a circle! More

A great location for food, movie, and shopping. One of the oldest but still nicest shopping complexes in Dallas. If you are lucky you'll see Troy Aikman lunching at Mia Cocina's. More

I always prefer open air shopping areas to the malls. There are upscale shops such as Stella McCartney, Christian Louboutin which are really expensive but perfect for window shopping! Two of my favorite restaurants in the area are here as well: Patrizio and Mi Cocina. More

So Highland Park Village is the off the charts fancy shopping area of Dallas. It is not an overly big place but all the stores are super fancy designer stores that don't have to be that big or have that much stuff when all their clothes, dresses, ties, belts, etc cost as much as a nice TV or small car.... Great for luxury shopping. Fantastic selection of high end designers. Pretty good places to eat, ranging from very upscale to quick. No fast food, no "Dollar Stores". One of the best Ralph Lauren stores in the USA. Better than Rodeo Drive - much classier. More

Its obvious they don't want certain people shopping there. I'm surprised they even still have a grocery store in the Village. That will probably soon be gone, too. HP Village used to be a nice, family oriented place with a theater and sandwich shop (Pat's), and stores that were expensive, but still somewhat affordable. Now they want to turn it... More
