Stopped by on a summer evening. I saw more bicycles then anywhere else. We walked for a bit and took a seat on a bench. There the ants got me. Very small ants compared to the Pacific NW, they pack a sting however. Otherwise we liked this park, there seems to be an abundance of concrete and not enough green... More

The path around White Rock Lake is approximately 9 miles. Which makes it a great place for a long run, if you don't want to deal with stop lights and cars. For the most part it is a wide path and safe for running. The only downside is that on a good day, the path is packed. With kids, dogs,... More

A drive along white rock lake on a Sunday is so relaxing. The people watching is great as people are exercising and just hanging out.

This is a fantastic park, the paths are well designed for walking and biking, there are lots of picnic areas for outdoor entertainment, water activities, and they are currently rebuilding - redesigning the dog park to make it a much better "dog" destination. All Good.

Beware the tall grass. It is home to many biting bugs. However, White Rock Lake Park is a Dallas institution. Particularly if you enjoy outdoor sports. The track around the lake is LONG. I want to say it's over 10 miles. On the other hand, there's really no part of it that isn't pretty. Just don't plan on making the... More

Super area to get a long run in around the lake. Right off the lake is Norbuck Park where you can get some trail running in if you prefer to stay off the pavement.

Path nice and wide. And scenic ride around the park and lake. About 9 miles so a good distance for 1,2 or 3 laps and a good, safe workout.

Drove down there on our way out of Dallas. The restaurant and all facilities like washrooms all were locked. Not sure where people relieve themselves when visiting this park. Good view of the Dallas skyline in a distance.

I was visiting from Austin and wanted to get out on the water. I e-mailed their crew and I was out with them a few days later. They were all wonderful and the water was great! Not a lot of traffic on the water which is really nice. They have a great boathouse and wonderful equipment. I can't tell you... More

Listen, this is Dallas. Not alot of water here. This is a man made lake. I don't go often, it's not fantastic, but they really tried to put in some water where none exists and it's a good try. They do better at infrastructure and buildings. I miss the real lakes! But, it is a good walk around. Better to... More
