On a warmer than usual early November afternoon, we arrived on the east side of the lake near the old Dreyfus Club location and south of the Bath House to attend a geocaching event. This is a beautiful area that I would speculate not too many people from out of town by a mere 30 miles would know about. We'd... More

Fabulous lake that i have been acquainted with since 1985. They have done a major renovation improving the biking and walking paths as well as have taken into effect the high water levels at time and built bridges for pedestrians. We used to ride our bikes the entire perimeter which was just under 12 miles. There are sailboats and paddle... More

When friends come to Dallas to visit, we always talked them for a walk at White Rock Lake. The lake is an oasis in the city. The entire lake is part of the park and you can walk all the way around it (though it is 9 miles). The park is well cared for by the city, plus each quarter... More

We had a great time when we took our dog for a walk around the lake this past weekend. The paved path around the lake is clean, well maintained, and I think 9 miles long. We didn't make it all the way around. Next time we'll stop and have a picnic.

Nice place for a picnic, but on the weekend it is overrun with bicyclists that think they have the run of the place and are not interested in sharing the road. How rude!

As the temperatures cool from the 90's to the 80's, it is time to walk along the lake and to just relax. A nice thing to do is to bring a picnic lunch and to forget about life for a few minutes.

White Rock Lake offers beautiful hiking and biking trails around the large lake. You can also picnic and feed the ducks and geese who grace the shores. There is large marina for those who enjoy boating.

I have been visiting White Rock Lake Park for the last 10 years. It is one of my favorite parks in the city of Dallas. People enjoy many activities in this park - roller skating, biking, walking, jogging, barbecuing, picnicking or simply sitting and watching the sunset. It is a great place for siting variety of wildlife - migratory birds,... More
