A really nice place for to spend the afternoon. There is a great trail around the lake for walking, running, or biking. Also a dog park, playground, and kayak and SUP rental. There are water fountains along the path, but bringing your own cooler or water bottle would be better.

White Rock is a gem in East Dallas! It is a beautiful spot to enjoy views of downtown Dallas and relax or enjoy the outdoors. Great paved bike and walking trails. Bring a book, blanket and picnic or exercise in the great outdoors.

White Rock Lake is a great way to unwind on the weekends. I used to live right next to the trail and would ride my bike every weekend. The trail is long and would take about 2 hours to get around the whole lake. You can bring picnics and enjoy the scenery. The path usually has enough room for bikers,... More

My family started going to White Rock back in the 50s. It was cheap entertainment. It's clean and has a walking path all the way around. Picnic lots of picnic benches scattered throughout...lots of trees.

With beautiful views at any angle you see the lake, wild bird refuge, the famous Monk Parrot colony and the boats. My favorite park in all of Texas.

Popular place for relaxing and just watching the sailboats on the lake. Plenty of family recreational activity. Fishing and sculling on the lake are also popular. Families enjoy tables, BBQ pits and shade for family picnics and some playground areas all around ~25miles of lake roadway. Favorite spot for bicycling, both family and recreational riders. Rental Kayaks and Paddle boards... More

Very nice park and great place for a long run. The downside is that some of the bikers seem to take an ownership attitude of the trail around the lake and seemed to get upset if they have to slow down (I bike also and do want to say it is a small population of the riders).

Our son in law , who worked for 12 years in Dallas was e-visiting his old stomping grounds or should I say old marathon runs, we went out to meet him and had a short walk. Beautiful area , loads of cyclists and runners, lovely place to visit.
