What a beautiful setting!! Lot's of outdoor space to do just about anything: bike, sail, run, picnic, reserve space for special events. We're lucky to have it in Dallas.

My wife and I met for the first time while jogging around White Rock Lake in 1982. We married in 1987. We still enjoy going back to the "start" of our relationship!! Beautiful and Peaceful with many different habitats as you go around this Inner City Lake. Homes on the West Side are stately and the Arboretum on the East... More

The walking/bike path continues around this lake in the center of Dallas offers wonderful views of this lake. Plenty of parking and shade trees. Across the lake you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas.

White Rock Lake Park is a huge park around White Rock Lake. There is much to see especially on the historic side. Most of the park including many buildings were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s.

Take a walk in late summer, early in the evening g between the two lake sections in the trees and witness masses of butterflies in the air, and tiny glowing fireflies on the ground and flying around. Magical at that time of day.

This a wonderful place to bike ride sail walk picnic just sit and enjoy the water. It is peaceful and about as safe as you can get outdoors in Dallas 30 years ago parts of it were a hell hole but that is in the past. Large trees make it really a wonderful place to relax

I didn't like some of the aggressive dogs in small dog area but what can you do? Really nice trails and lake. I wouldn't be here after dark though.

Stopped by on a summer evening. I saw more bicycles then anywhere else. We walked for a bit and took a seat on a bench. There the ants got me. Very small ants compared to the Pacific NW, they pack a sting however. Otherwise we liked this park, there seems to be an abundance of concrete and not enough green... More

The path around White Rock Lake is approximately 9 miles. Which makes it a great place for a long run, if you don't want to deal with stop lights and cars. For the most part it is a wide path and safe for running. The only downside is that on a good day, the path is packed. With kids, dogs,... More
