My Favorite part of Dallas

White Rock Lake is an amazing part of Dallas. The running/bike path around the lake is very well kept, but even for the more sedentary visitors the views are unreal.

Great day watching sailboats, squirrels, bikers...and folks with their dogs! Only wish we had our bikes. Great dog park on north side.

This is one of the gems within the city of Dallas. From Flag Pole Hill ( that doubles as a sledding hill when there is snow) to rowing on the lake itself White Rock Lake Park is worth a visit anytime of year. Many other things to do in the area too.

White Rock Lake is a beautiful and serene park with great trails and a dog park. The botanical garden/arboretum is also right in front of the trails.

One of the best spots in Dallas to enjoy the outdoors. It is a beautiful park with about a ten mile jogging/biking trail around it. In the warmer months, you can also rent kayaks/canoes and paddle around the lake. It is fairly inexpensive and quite a bit of fun. We take our dog here frequently because he loves to take... More

No place like it! Can't believe you're less than 10 minutes from downtown. Quiet, great trails, places for the kids to play and ride their bikes, It's a great place to get away.....rain or shine. Only complaint is the serious cyclists that care not about running you over......just their speed. It's a park! Not a race track.

This lake is a great place for outdoors activities: walking, running, biking, skating, or just fishing or canoeing.

Excellent place to hold community events. The lake itself was stunning, and has a trail all around for joggers and bike. I personally planed a school event their , and eventhough their were 2 other major events going on there was plenty of room around for each event to have its own space. It's also has it's own dart light... More

This gorgeous little lake is 9 miles around and the dam was built about 1910 to provide fresh water for Dallas. Now it has hike and bike trails surrounding the perimeter and can be accessed by car on all sides with picnic areas surrounding the lake. Of interest are the Dam, the old water treatment plant, the Bath House and... More
