The views of the lake are wonderful, super relaxing feeling although if you want to run or bicycle around is also well crowded, lots of room to park and even space to have a barbeque. All in all very lovely place to spend an afternoon

We're new in Dallas so we searched for a place for recreation, having a run or just some food in the sun. We were at this Lake a few times, just for walking or having lunch. We like it because it's a good place to escape the city a bit.

The 24 mile ride that takes you down White Rock Creek Trail, around White Rock Lake and back up the White Rock Creek Trail is the best bike ride in Dallas. The scenery is gorgeous. The paved path is well-maintained. The people watching is fun. But the break that I take at the top of the dam, about 13 miles... More

When the weather is nice in Dallas, this is THE place to enjoy the outdoors for FREE. It's almost a 10 mile hike all the way around the lake and you can enjoy it walking, jogging, skating or biking. Nicely paved and safe. Free parking, public water fountains, benches and restrooms along the trail, particularly on the east side of... More

White Rock Lake Park is the system of small to medium park areas that surround Dallas' White Rock Lake, joined by the encircling hike and bike trail. Playground equipment commends some spots; peaceful views commend others. Picnic; walk or bike; fly a kite; kick around or pitch around a ball; play a bit of touch football or kick-the-can. This is... Since at least the early 1920s, when our aunt took a ride on a speedboat with her beau, White Rock Lake has been a popular destination in the Northeast corner of Dallas. While speedboats are only occasionally seen these days during special events, sailboats, canoes and paddle boats abound daily. Walkers and bicyclists enjoy miles of improved pathways and bridges.... We only live about a mile from the lake, so I am here often. I am a birder, and it's a fabulous place to view birds. According to ebird.org, 275 species of birds have been seen and documented here. I also ride my bike all the way around the lake on the excellent paved trail. Highly recommend!

What a great park...go biking, walking, go to the dog park. We love the dog park. They have separated areas for big and small dogs. Can't wait for the cold weather to be over to get back out to the dog park

What a great jewel for the city of Dallas. The trails around White Rock are not only beautiful, but relaxing. I enjoy the beauty of the lake and love looking at the fantastic homes that surround it. Such a relaxing place.
