I have the wonderful opportunity to live near White Rock Lake. It is a beautiful park especially in the spring and summer when you can see people fishing, families having picnics, people boating and doing other water sports. It is a pretty big park and there are endless activities to do solo or with the entire family including pets. The... More
White Rock Park has a a great loop for walking, running and biking. The views of the lake are nice and the nearby houses are beautiful. Always lots of birds of different varieties. There is a large dog park that always has lots of dogs. The park is pretty well maintained as far as litter and parking facilities. There is... More
We like bringing our preschool and elementary kids to the park to fly kites in the Spring and Fall, and play on the playground equipment. With a picnic, it makes for a great family day. The lake itself is pretty. And we check for specials at the Arboretum, which is a great visit in itself.
I would give white rock a five dot/star rating but there are much prettier lakes in other parts of the country. We were there in November so we saw some fall foliage which just added to the ambiance. If we had more time (and... More
The water, beach, and facilities are super clean. We have brought our boat and just hung out on the beachy area and both is great.
Went to this park along the lake shores and walked in the evening. Lots of runners, bikers, and walkers. Quite and convenient location for those east of Dallas (Garland). Looks like an interesting location at the Bath House which has been converted into a cultural arts venue.
