Ok, modern this sure isn't. If you enjoy posh Hilton/Four Seasons.....pass on this. If you want an old school horse ride into a very cool canyon, dive in. Things are old and kind of broken down. But to me that's where some of the charm is. The people are all family, and are generally very nice. The horses were well... More

Howdy! Thanks for the excellent review. I'm not exactly sure when you rode with us but I'd like to apologize if you thought we only accepted cash. We accept ALL credit cards and debit. We also have small children, people of any age actually, riding almost everyday. We have amazing horses. We have been in this business for over 50... More

My husband, daughters and I had the best time yesterday riding through the Canyon! I felt so safe even though I have only been on a horse a couple of times and it was because of the more than capable owners, staff and horses. I couldn't have imagined a better location to make some long lasting memories with my family!... More

Fantastic ride with true Texans carrying on a family tradition! These are the nicest people you will ever meet, and they will do anything to make your experience worth while. My family loved every bit of the ride, and a lot of it was in the shade which is nice in the summer heat. They love their horses, and we... More

My daughter and I were thrilled to be able to ride through the canyon on our last trip. Though it was quite hot out, the canyon ride was quite pleasant. The horses were cooperative, especially to a non-seasoned rider. The view was beautiful and the guides were informative and welcoming. What a treat!

My family of 4 including a 12 and 14 year old loved this experience! Jesse and his team/family of helpers were so kind and helpful. As first time riders, we were impressed with how responsive the horses were to our commands. We had so much fun and enjoyed the scenery!

This unassuming looking business put on one great trail ride! 78, 63 (the only non tenderfoot), 42, 8, and 5. They had the perfect mount for each of us. The guides were all friendly, engaging, knowlegable, and informative. The trail had many steep spots, but the horses were surefooted and well behaved. Not unlively or worn out, they were all... They went above and beyond helping us schedule a ride during our trip! Twice our ride was cancelled due to severe thunderstorms at night which made riding the trails dangerous! They were booked for the next 2 days, and just when we thought riding wasn't going to be a part of our trip, they scheduled us on Sunday so that... More

This is a family owned business who make you feel like family! They told many interesting stories about their business and their land. I had very little experience with horseback riding but they made me feel comfortable and confident. I rode Lilly...she's a fun horse with lots of personality and didn't mind a novice. We would do this again

These stables were great. It's a small, family run operation and the owners treat you like friends, the horses are well taken care of, the trails are beautiful and somewhat shaded, and they really try to match rider to horse. They explained so much of the history and made the ride interesting. They even stopped in a picturesque area and... More
