We stopped by, met Jesse, and booked a 1 hour ride for my 14 and 13 year-old boys and myself on December 22nd. The first thing that caught my attention was when we were still up at the stables I took a look down into this part of Palo Duro Canyon and was surprised about how lush this section of... More

Last Sunday, December 20, 2015, my two kids (9 and 5) and I did a trail ride here. We can wholeheartedly say it was a really, really nice experience. The horses are very sweet, taken well care of and the staff is amazing. We had such a great time and my son of 5 had his first solo ride after... More

We really enjoyed our 1 1/2 hour horseback ride. The guides were great and knowledgeable. We saw a different part of the canyon and even saw the sheep not often seen. It was fun and relaxing and was a highlight of the trip for me. It is a fun ride for new riders as well as those who have ridden... More

This is a great stop to make. Friendly staff and owners. Horses for every level of rider and great trails. All guides gave information about the canyon and the horses as we rode. A very fun time. I did this bt myself but felt as a group as we rode talked and shared laughs. Highly recommend it.

We wee passing through Amarillo heading to San Diego! It was December 2015. We saw reviews about the riding stables and have never ridden a horse. One member of our trave group was 80! None of us have ever been on a horse and I'm terrified of heights. These horses are amazing, well groomed, trained, and I felt like I'd... More

The crew at the Stables was so nice. They are all family and have been there for years. And it shows in how much they care about the canyon. My kids really enjoyed the experience.

At first we thought the rate was a bit high, but after researching other stables in the area, Palo Duro Riding Stables was lower than any of the others and well worth the cost. We learned much more than we ever imagined was possible. They have been a family owned business since 1960 and the third generation currently operates the... More

Horseback riding has always been something I wanted to try; it was on my Bucket List. It was so much fun and I felt comfortable during the entire ride. The stables are a family owned business, and they seem to treat the horses like members of the family. The owners were friendly, knowledgeable, and just all around wonderful host. Their... More
