Every Saturday night between March and November the Tejas Rodeo is held in Bulverde, Texas which is just 45 minutes from San Antonio. My daughter & I were able to obtain transportation through their website tejasrodeo.com. We were picked up at our hotel and driven to/from the Rodeo. I took my family to Tejas Rodeo and had a wonderful time!! The rodeo and grounds are absolutely awesome!! The BBQ was wonderful and the band was amazing! Thanks for such a wonderful experience! We will be back! Pat more

You know you're in Texas when you are at the Tejas Rodeo. It's not as large as the San Antonio Rodeo, but is authentic enough to give you a good idea of the lifestyle. Two older ladies looking for something inexpensive and fun to do in San Santonio and we had so much fun. Everyone was terrific, including Tony the rodeo clown and the emcee of the rodeo mentioned ladies from Indiana. We really felt at home. I recently attended a Rodeo and a family play day at the Tejas Rodeo facility. Being a native of the area, it absolutely astonished me that such a wonderful place was hidden only 15 minutes from my home in North San Antonio and I never knew it. We discovered the Tejas Rodeo Company on tripadvisor, and are very glad we found it. Bulverde is about 1/2 hour north-west of San Antonio. Before the rodeo started we enjoyed some fabulous BBQ from Cibolo Smokehouse and Saloon. For only $7.50 we had a BBQ plate with beef brisket, cream corn, potato salad and bread. The food was great.
