If you're visiting Texas for the first time, go to the rodeo first! We picked up cowboy hats from a Mexican vendor and our kids were introduced to the Texas way of life right off the bat. They really enjoyed the rodeo, especially the mutton-busting! Stay to watch the dancing after the rodeo--it is really enjoyable.

Its just a fun experience to take part in. Take a trip outside the city and watch some bronc riding, and bull blasting out on the dirt of the large roping arena. Imagine a steak house to rival any big name restaurant , in the middle of no where. My sons comment when he tasted his steak was that it was " freakishly good"! The rodeo was fun, the food fantastic, and the music and dancing was spectacular! And it was all family oriented! This was extremely economical and great fun!

Inexpensive fun family night out! Good steak house or bbq plus throw in a rodeo for a great night out!!!
