We arrived later than we should have on a Saturday night - given that the gates open at 5:00, the bleachers were already filled by a little after 7:00pm. Our only choice was to stand by the fence surrounding the ring but no worries. By the end we decided we had the most ideal spot anyway! (Note: We were all... More

When planning our Texas vacation, I really wanted to take my kids to a rodeo. I couldn't find one before arriving but found a brochure for this weekly (every Saturday night, Mar.-Nov.) rodeo upon arrival. It was great. The whole rodeo lasted 1.5 hours (perfect length for kids) and had bull riding, barrel racing and calf roping. The crowd was... More

Loved this rodeo! I would rate this a "must see" for any visitor to San Antonio. Extremely well priced and tons of fun. We went with three kids (5, 8, 10). Bull riding, calf roping, trick riding, barrel racing and (our favorite) mutton bustin'. My daughter loved to ride the machanical bull. The food was good and also very reasonably... More

The rodeo begins at 7:30pm. Sharp! Bull riding(men) and mutton busting(kids)and watching young women have a great time riding horses. Young men and women roping calfs. There is food and dancing and mechanical bullriding. More

Yes, I guess it can. Small venue but very well done and inexpensive. Take the kids to see the "mutton busters"...(kids trying to ride lambs) More

The rodeo hadn't started yet, but it's fun, too. The restaurant is surprisingly good. All fresh, homemade dishes. The rodeo atmosphere is part of the fun. Band and dancing on the pavilion during rodeo season. More

This place in the country 30 minutes north of San Antonio has recently been reopened. We went for my 40th high school reunion. Very pleasantly surprised. Only opens on weekends from March to November (check Thursdays, too?). Lunch available on weekends. Saturday nights they have a pro-Rodeo to watch in covered bleacher stands. Has a cover charge if live band... More

We are just returned from our trip to Texas and have to share the great time we had at the Rodeo. Our fantastic tour guide, Shelly from Texas Historic Tours, picked us up from our hotel and showed us a great night at the rodeo. Shelly guided us around the ground and explained all the dffferent events which were so... More
