We attended the Tejas Rodeo grounds for a special Firefighter Rodeo. Our son=in=law is a firefighter and participated with some fellows from his department. Had a fun time. The arena is well set up ( I'm an old FFA/Ag boy so I know rodeos) as well as the surrounding amenities. (stay away from the Tejas Steakhouse- see separate review). They... More

If you're visiting Texas for the first time, go to the rodeo first! We picked up cowboy hats from a Mexican vendor and our kids were introduced to the Texas way of life right off the bat. They really enjoyed the rodeo, especially the mutton-busting! Stay to watch the dancing after the rodeo--it is really enjoyable.

We visited the rodeo on our vacation to San Antonio. We made reservations and ate dinner at the on-site steak-house. The cheddar biscuits are to die for!! After we enjoyed watching the rodeo, bull riding, barrel racing, mutt busting..So much fun. After the rodeo was over we enjoyed watching the locals dance the two-step to a live band. A great... More

Its just a fun experience to take part in. Take a trip outside the city and watch some bronc riding, and bull blasting out on the dirt of the large roping arena. Two options for food, the concession stand option or the on site stake house to appease your appetite. Plenty of fun for the kids and the adults. And... More

We decided to go to the rodeo while on vacation in San Antonio after seeing its high rating. While driving further and further into the country, we got a little nervous about what we were getting into especially when we saw that most of the cars coming in were towing horse trailers. Once we figured out we were in the... More

Imagine a steak house to rival any big name restaurant , in the middle of no where. My sons comment when he tasted his steak was that it was " freakishly good"! The rodeo was fun, the food fantastic, and the music and dancing was spectacular! And it was all family oriented! This was extremely economical and great fun!
