Fun for All

Shopping paradise for the outdoors enthusiast, and for those who aren't, there is an aquarium and a taxidermy mountain that is quite impressive.

Attended Cabelas, Buda, Texas, recently for the first time, with some Filipino friends. Mark you, I am black. After getting a ticket in the firearms section and standing in line and talking amongst ourself, a white male employee called us to the counter. This employee claimed he overheard us talking about firearms and it sounded as if we did not... More

These jammy pants were on sale the day we shopped and they are so soft and comfortable! As a matter of fact, much of the clothes for sale here look cozy and comfortable, not necessarily high fashion. Cabela's is a great place to spend a couple of hours.

Great place to go and see their collection of taxidermied animals. They also have a cool little aquarium. There is a large selection of hunting and fishing gear along with clothes, cooking and camping gear.

Not only for the hunter, but for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. A trip here is more than shopping. Find both entertainment, educational experiences and more! The animal displays rival the best Natural Science Museums.

This visit to Cabellas was to purchase a Christmas gift listed at a sale price for 1 day only. I called their location in Buda, TX to verify on hand inventory yet, was displeased to learn they would NOT accept over the phone or online purchases for items listed at sale prices...the 70 mile rt drive from north Austin was... We drove 150 miles roundtrip to Cabela's. We were at the store for 4 hours. We knew exactly what we wanted, just had issues getting assistance. I wanted to purchase 2 Sig Sauer P250C 40s. I handled the display and loved it. When Ian was given the gun cases from the back, one was new and the other was the... More

Cabela's worth a look-see, but damn, did they hafta kill and tuff so many animals? It is, of course, a window into an America I don't know, nor really understand, but I do like anthropology.

I admit that I'm not an outdoorsy sort of person. There isn't much I would think I need at Cabelas. However...I do love to look at the aquarium. Aquariums are some of my favorite things and the fish at Cabela's always amaze me because there are so many kinds and they are so big! The animal displays in the rest... More
