I haven't been to many wineries and this one seemed to be a little above average. The wines were excellent and I got to taste quite a few. I found the Blanc Du Bois, a white table wine, to be especially tasty and so I bought a bottle. There was no charge for the tastings which may be because I... More

We had actually won a winemakers tour at a charity auction and ventured up with 8 friends, having no idea how good the place was. It is a small winery but they make some surprisingly good wines in a relaxed atmosphere with the winemaker and his wife. They served some nice snacks and we got a tour of the facilities... More

Good wine, but fantastic brandy infused port! Those white and Tawny ports were absolutely wonderful. The price for tastings is just beautiful. One of the friendliest places. We will be back!

We stopped at the winery on a beautiful Saturday. We enjoyed a tasting and then a glass of wine on the porch. Everyone was nice and even with a tour bus showing up we never felt unattended to. The wine is great and we of course bought a few bottles for home. The port wine is a excellent and the... More

If you're looking for a fun wine experience in a country setting, Pleasant Hill Winery in Brenham is a nice choice. Located halfway between Austin and Houston just off of US Hwy 290, Pleasant Hill offers multiple tours on Saturday and Sunday for just $5, which includes a tasting. The overall operation is small and quaint as they still do... More

This small winery offers brief tours, the chance to visit the vineyard proper, and an overview of the wine-making process. They have some nice offerings if you like sweet white wines--the Clos du Bois is the best of this line that they offer. The real gem, however, is the Tawny Port--a FABULOUS find--ask for a chocolate and port pairing.

This is a very small winery. It was cozy and very personable with a nice tour. Sit out on the deck and have a few glasses and talk with friends.

The winery was nice, far off the road and a little hard to find. The wine was okay but pricey. The person in charge was alright, but nothing special.

This little winery is must to stop and see. We had a nice tour followed by a tasting upstairs. They have good whites but I wasn't to pleased with the Reds I tried and I'm a red person. This is one of three in the area. We have visited two of the three and this one was better by far.... More

We've been to Pleasant Hill Winery a handful of times, and the experience always brings us back. The number and style of wines available varies by season and by year, so we always kick off our visit with a tasting. Our server, Holly, was delightful. Fun, lively, personable, and knowledgable of the wines and the area. When you're done with... More
