A beautiful and remote area of the Guadalupe River. We actually visited on a Friday and we were almost the only people there, apart from one guy fishing. Not much in the way of facilities but perfect if you just want to get away from it all. Lots of great wildlife and hiking trails to be explored. My daughter just... More

This park is about 14 miles from Boerne, so it's rarely crowded during the week. As the name implies, it's a natural area without a lot of amenities, but right on the Guadalupe which has flowed nicely most of this year. Lots of birding and wildlife viewing opportunities, too. Pack a picnic, take a drive and enjoy this great little... More

I live about 5-6 miles from this park and I go regularly. Unfortunately it gets pretty crowded on the weekends by 8:30-9:00 am. Most of the trails are pretty easy, but Vista Loop is challenging. This time of the year the horseflies are annoying, so wear bug spray to keep them at bay. There is a water fountain and restroom... More

If your into anything from bird watching to river tubing this is the place to go. I believe I read 173 acre park with hiking/walking trails. Bird watching stations and complete river access. Stop by and check them out.

How you view a place like this, has to do with your outlook! It is truly "off the beaten path" and remote, and you have to be determined to find it in the first place! There are blinds for bird-watching and it is not a highly frequented park. It would be good for picnics, but if you're seeking LOTS of... More

Kreutzberg is so beautiful and feels so remote. We were the only people in the park. The park has great trails, bird blinds, bluebird houses, and chimney swift towers. We saw many deer and the river area is lovely. Also, a great place for geocashing.

I only spent a little while here taking pictures of the fall foliage one day. I was the only person there and got to enjoy a peaceful and beautiful time. I will be back to check out more of the trails soon.

I am a hiker and really enjoy the changes of views from the grassy field, classic hill country, and then the river area with grass and tall pecan trees. Such a gem. One of my fav's.
