Dont wait. Without rains the river will get even lower. I went on the short trip (Tarpley Crossing to Longhorn Saloon) August 15th and had a blast. Only one person on entire trip although I went early. Started at 7:30 and was done by 10am which included one break stop. Kayak only hit a few low spots but went right... More

Absolutely the best tube float we have taken...the river is up and rapids flowing in crystal clear river with a beautiful canopy of cypress trees.

Kind of a lazy river, but very peaceful and relaxing. Went tubing. . .there were a few small rapids, but calls for a very peaceful day.

The river is fairly shallow and moves slowly so is excellent for even the younger ones in the family to tube. (We took our 6 year old grandson.) Water is clear and clean, trees overhang the river for a most scenic float! The... More

Love Medina River, especially when there is water in it. A great place to hang out, go tubing, fishing or just picnic with the family.

We have been floating on the river for the last few days and it has been incredible. The water level is great and we have not had to get out because of low water. We would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Started out tubing in the 1990's and then thanks to a great man named Fred Collins, got HOOKED on kayaking. The river can accommodate beginners to skilled. The fishing is so great too. The water is so clear that you can see what is about to attach your bait and if you do not like what you see, pull up... More

Very clean clear water. We like to stop remove our motorcycle boots and get our feet wet and splash a little water on us to cool off.
