Relaxing, beautiful

Kind of a lazy river, but very peaceful and relaxing. Went tubing. . .there were a few small rapids, but calls for a very peaceful day.

Love Medina River, especially when there is water in it. A great place to hang out, go tubing, fishing or just picnic with the family.

We have been floating on the river for the last few days and it has been incredible. The water level is great and we have not had to get out because of low water. We would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Started out tubing in the 1990's and then thanks to a great man named Fred Collins, got HOOKED on kayaking. The river can accommodate beginners to skilled. The fishing is so great too. The water is so clear that you can see what is about to attach your bait and if you do not like what you see, pull up... More

Very clean clear water. We like to stop remove our motorcycle boots and get our feet wet and splash a little water on us to cool off.

Plenty of nice shade trees and rope swings which makes for a great day at the river. We went after getting a lot of rain and the river was high but did not have a bad current.

Very happy fishermen but don't know what kind of fish they caught. The river was raging from previous rain before the real storm hit with 12 or so inches

A few years ago, the Medina River had a lot of lively places where families could come and enjoy the water. The Texas Hill Country has been in a drought the past 6-7 years and the river has been dammed upstream in places so what remains is a trickle. Medina Lake is virtually dry except for a residual puddle behind... More

Th river was beautiful and peaceful. We wished we had more time while in Bandera to kayak down the river. A beautiful river with trees along both sides. A definite must see.
