My two young daughters loved their experience at Tuckaleechee Caverns. We arrived first thing in the morning on a Wednesday so we didn't have to wait very long for a tour to start. In fact, no others had arrived by our tour start time so our group was able to enjoy a "private" tour. The guide was knowledgeable and very... More

We visited the caverns with our 6 year old grandson and all if us had a great time. The guided tour was over an hour long, but didn't seem like it. We were never bored and our guide, Terry, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The caverns are off the beaten path, but roads are well-marked. It is definitely worth the... More

The Tuckaleechee Caverns border on the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I have visited three other caverns of this type in Virginia, Tennessee, and Gibraltar. Tuckaleechee was the most impressive. There are 17 miles of underground caverns - we walked one mile on the guided tour and a "great room". Our tour guide, Lauren, is a geologist and very knowledgeable.

My family and I frequent Gatlinburgh often. We have done many of the strip activities and all the money pits. We all have. For this trip down we decided to do some things different and enjoy the more adventures outdoor things available. I wish we would have found this place sooner. Can't not begin to express how great this place... More

We had a great tour! Our tour guide, Lauren, was very knowledgeable about the cave history and facts. She was also friendly and offered to take group photos during tour highlights. The cave was beautiful and included an underground waterfall and one "room" was the size of a football field.

What a better way to escape the Tennessee heat than hide out in a cave! We were planning our day down near Townsend and Cades Cove. So happy we stopped here. The outside of the building, lobby, and gift shop are quite dated...but the cavern itself is outstanding! Lots of stairs down...means lots of stairs to get back up. Some spots are... More

The tour is well worth the money. The cave is beautiful. Lauren was absolutely amazing, she made the whole tour. We will be back.

Our last day in Townsend we decided to give Tuckaleechee Caverns a chance and it we decided was the best adventure of the week. We've gone through other caverns and caves before, but nothing that had as informative a guide as we did. I would give him a shout out but unfortunately the only piece of information he didn't give... More

Absolutely amazing experience under the Smokies!! Our tour guide Terry has been around these caverns since he was 16 and was a wealth of knowledge. You can tell he was very passionate about the area and it made the tour that much more enjoyable. The brothers who own the site take great care of it and everyone was willing to... More
