This is not a review of the attraction itself, unfortunately. Several days ago we drove from Sevierville believing that this place would be open. The reason that we thought it was open is because all that their social media and web presence says is "open 7 days a week". They have no voicemail greeting that says otherwise, nor does their... Not open 7 days a week!!!! No phone recording or website update advising that it isn't open from mid November to mid March. I would give this negative stars if possible as how difficult is it to update the website or make a phone recording???

Had a rainy day so decided to go here and spend some time. We were skeptical at first thinking we might be wasting our money but that changed very quickly. This place was awesome. The wife and I both had a great time along with our kids. They talked about it the whole trip. The time seemed to go fast... More

We hit this place based on the reviews from TripAdvisor but when we first got out of the car, we were saying, "Okaaaaaaaaay." With the large, incredibly touristy gift shop straight from the 70's greeting you at the front door and the local fellas standing around watching TV off the the side, we were kinda wondering what was in store... These caverns are beautiful and the tour well worth the money (I have been in numerous caverns over the years, some really great and some a waste of money!) The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We had 3 small children with us, one of which was in a carrier on my husband's back. We were told that there were... More

An amazing cavern visit. Not commercial so seemed quite adventurous. Our tour guide was amazing and she was so knowledgeable about the cavern and its history that the discovery of it and the later development really came to life. It is a lot of steep stairs down and back out so be prepared for a workout. If you want an... More

Great guided tour of huge cavern. Ask to see the seismograph. Pretty cool! Great adventure for families.

We were up to see the fall colors and decided to take a look. This is NOT a national park, so it's nowhere near as antiseptic an experience. You'll get a little mud on your shoes and you'll have to duck to get through a couple of passages. The kids who are tour guides are great. It takes about 45... More

We saw the 'vintage', tourist trap looking signs on the highway, and then proceeded to pull up to the kitschy gift shop in front of the caverns, and really weren't sure what to expect. My guy told me that this was likely a disappointing tourist trap for sure, but we proceeded anyway. All I can say is, definitely visit this... More
