We arrived at 9am and although there was only the 2 of us, this wasn't a problem for the staff. Ron chatted with us whilst our horses were getting saddled, then Kevin introduced us to our horses, Cindy and Mindy. We were given a brief orientation before Gerry took us out, While we were getting ready to leave Ron took... More

My 10yr old grandsons first time on a horse and my first time in 20+ years. Wonderful ride through the Smokies. Horses are matched up to the size of the rider. We were given a brief but good orientation and then we were on our way. I liked the way both the riders and horses were treated. Our guide was... More

We went on a Friday afternoon and had only a short wait till we could go. Gerry did a good job leading our ride with some scared members of another family on the ride. Horses were very suitable. Pleasant way to enjoy Cades Cove. Helmets available, required for under 16.

On Tuesday July 29, my family drove (3 carloads of us) to the stables just for the hayride. Upon our arrival around 2pm, we were told by another customer that they were closed because they had "too many people." The website states this company offers 3 different services. The families that were waiting were there for horseback riding. How does... More

Mid morning ride yesterday with Jerry as our guide. One of the best horse backing trips we've had. The trail was great going up and down the hills through the creek. The woods were quiet and peaceful. We didn't see any bears but the group before use did. Jerry was really good with the kids on the trail and entertaining.... More

Loved riding horses in Cades Cove. Always see lots of wildlife. My children toward the front saw a bear as he past over a ridge. We came really close to a bear a few years ago. The set up to get on the horses is great. The scenary is beautiful. Well worth it.

We had a great time buyt were a little disappointed that our five year old was too young to ride...they are "trail hourses" but he and my husband went on a carraige ride instead. The scenery was beautiful and my daughter age 8 had a great time...We will be back in a few years when we can all ride!

I have ridden before but my eleven year old daughter never has. The staff was kind and patient and the horses were very patient. At $30 per person for an hour, it was worth every penny! They recommend wearing jeans but they are not needed and just too hot in summer. Young woman at desk was extremely nice and calmed... More

Let me start by saying...we drove to Cade's cove riding stables twice for a hey ride, the first time we got rained out so our tour got cancelled (we were glad because safety should always be #1 priority). Me my husband and my boys returned and when we got there the lady at the desk told us there was no... More

First few minutes out we saw a Black Bear. The horses were all easy going and well cared for. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Riding in the Great Smoky Mountain was like no other ride I have ever taking. Only wish we would have booked the longer ride. I never wanted it to end. The prices are very... More
