I brought my 6, 8, and 10 yr old kids on their first horseback ride. What a great time, the kids loved it! And the guide, Matt, was so nice and involved the kids in his tour. A huge hit for us all! Horses were so easy to ride, I wasn't worried one bit.

Took my little sister here for her first horseback ride. We went during spring break and only had to wait about 30 mins for our turn to ride. They take groups of about 6-8 at a time, and they depart from the stables almost every 25 mins or so. The horses are hand picked to meet the needs of the... More

We had two 9 year olds in our group and they enjoyed the horseback ride very much. They had never done anything like that before so to them, it was amazing! Their guide was very nice, but as he was explaining the rules and such, we could barely hear him and I'm not sure he realized he was talking to... More

This review is for the stables inside the park, not the one in Townsend. I wish we'd known about the original Cades Coves Stables. The trail was pretty and the guides were nice. The horses were very manageable. However, when we paid, we were told the wait would be about an hour. We waited over two hours. There was only... More

My wife has been wanting to do a horseback riding for a while. We have never done one in the past. What better opportunity than this one? We actually went there on a Sunday, but due to the high winds, they weren't going to do any rides. So, I'd suggest you call them first to make sure that they're doing... More

Beautiful setting. Great horses, we rode sisters, Cindy and Mindy, great big beautiful Percherons. Our leader was competent, fun and friendly. You can tell the folks working here care about their jobs, the park and their horses. Appropriate cost for the experience, 30.00 I believe for an hour.

had a great time with our horses and our guide Jonathan. Hope we can go back again. But would go right back to Gatlinburg instead of doing the cades cove loop. The guide was knowledgeable and made sure we had a great time. The wait was minimal

We look forward to our trip to the Smokeys every year. No trip to the Smokeys is complete without a drive through Cade's Cove. This year we chose to do the horseback riding in addition to our drive through. Although we have ridden before it is not a prerequisite with these well trained horses, in fact we had a six... More
